What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I pulled out my Frank Buster Celebrated Fight'n Rooster 3.5" burnt stag gunstock stockman.

That's a real beauty.

Outstanding Primble, I don't think I've ever seen that variation on the Doctor's Knife before, lovely

I'm slipping these two in my pocket today :)

Thank you Jack and you picked well today.

Pretty stag on that one Jeff.;)

My 1977 Walnut CASE 11031 SH that I made an Easy Open Mod to. One of the strongest pulls on a pocket knife I've ever owned:o

I have the EXACT knife but from 1971 with a little different swedge but no where near the pull this one has. Now MUCH easier with the EO:thumbup:

Rounded the EO and is very comfortable in hand;)

Shown with my 2 blade Scout. Scout closed 3 1/2 and the CASE closed is 3 7/8.

Beautiful Case and Scout - you are getting nice results with the EO projects.:eek::thumbup::thumbup::)

Went to a farewell this afternoon.
This was in my pocket...

I hope that was a fond farewell Frank and not a funeral...

That Elk White Owl is a knife I admire and it's on my want list alright! They do appear rare however.

I'm letting this Dead Skunk have an airing today.:D

Regards, Will

Love the knife now:thumbup:

Paul . . . I can't agree more that this model Case is the strongest spring of any slipjoint I have held or used. The shiny blade finish makes it worse, but I think a patina could help that. Beautiful mod and one I will have to keep in mind for my Case 11031. I assume this was accomplished with a dremel and some patience?

Taking this one for a ride today. Really loving this knife so far. It's really slim, slimmer than my single blade forum knife. It has perfect pulls and just feels really good in hand.

Landon, you are correct with the Dremel, a small drum sanding attachment and patience. The pull on my earlier CASE 11031 SH (1971) is MUCH better. Thank you for the mod compliment as well:thumbup:

My Clip/Pen TC Barlow today...

@ Primble, Beautiful pick up my friend:thumbup:

@ Jack, Nice duo there Jack, your RJ is becoming a frequent carry and for good reason---just a classic in my mind:thumbup:

Paul, you are a professional EO notch maker! I have a few to send you that need the EO notch put in them. :D

Your photography skills are excellent! Great pic of your Charlow.

Nice WJ slide!

Interesting knife

It most certainly is. I love the peppery juniper aroma

Thanks Landon. Your Au Sabot looks stunning as well!

Thank you Linus.

Reminds me to dig my Ebony one out! This is a kind of French regional 'Barlow' with an imposing Spear blade, zulu type? The snap on this one is not to be messed with either, a regular guillotine that could chop off a digit:D  Bit of a Thug of a knife, strong robust with all stainless fit, mine has a shield. Finish is a bit crude but this somehow suits it!

Thanks, Will

Will this is a very accurate depiction of the Le Garonnais. It is basically a French Barlow, with a mean strong spring. The closure is so hard, the tip will actually overcome the stop notch and strike the backspacer. I wish it had a halfstop also because you have to remember when you switch from a GEC or Case. The F&F could be better (my scales are slightly oblong, but could be hand sanded to perfection), but it is comaprable to the Bull Buster, IMHO.

These two have been my perfect pocket pair lately. I have a GEC 15 single blade Scout in ebony on the way though so things may change lol

NICE score my friend

These two for me today.

Thank you Jack - I loved the RJ picture today.:thumbup::)

I'm letting this Dead Skunk have an airing today.

Hilarious Will and a nice skunk - hope you get it aired out friend. :D:D:thumbup:

@ Primble, Beautiful pick up my friend:thumbup:

Thank you Paul - I actually picked up two long pull clips in trades in the past week!!:eek: Love your clip and pen version.;)

Very nice! I love the single blade, long pull Charlows. About the perfect pocket knife to my eye.

Thank you Flint - I just got this clip and pen in today, thru a trade. It went into my pocket - well, after a few pics. ;)
