• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Got this one in yesterday and love it, it's what I always had in mind for my forum knife. The one I got originally was pretty smooth stag and while it did grow on me, I really like the more heavily figured stag and when this came up for sale I couldn't pass it up. Arrived yesterday and in the pocket it goes today.

A perfect pattern, that, and one I recommend to anyone who wants "a knife." I hope Case keeps it current. Great covers on yours.

I love a happy ending. :)

[Space reserved because I have most of my knives in front of me in array on this chilly, blustery Sunday, and I haven't decided what I'm actually going to carry yet. I'm mostly just soaking in the glory of the sight, and of the skill, risk-taking, and generosity of so many.]

{{ Though I'll likely keep this one near for the time being, whether or not I actually pocket it: }}

Wow! Sarah, that Washington Jack is the nicest I've seen so far. Is that a really light colored ebony? Or cocobolo?

I am envious. But honestly, it would just be fondled and enjoyed while I continue to carry this one.

With the convenient screwdriver and so-tight-and-smooth-you'd-swear-it's-synthetic ebony handles, my Radio Jack never leaves my pocket.

I see you've already followed the bread crumb trail to my more complete post about my Washington Jack, but yes-- cocobolo it is! :)

Oh, I totally get that. I'm pretty much ruined for having a screwdriver somewhere on my pocketed knife, and endeavor to do so whenever possible. I'm partial to clip blades myself, but your Radio Jack nails every aesthetic to perfection.

Meanwhile, I've gone ahead and pocketed this one after all. How could I leave it behind?

(Different colors in different light; in most real-life lighting, it appears a more solid brown.)

Brian, is that a #22 magnum? How do you like? I think I might like that size. I wish I could find a single blade version.

Yes that is the 22 mag, thank you. It's a great little knife. About the size of a peanut. You will have a tough time finding a single blade since it was only produced in two blade form. :)
Maybe check out the #6 Pemeberton. Another great peanut sized offering that comes in one and two blade configurations.

Snowing all day yesterday, tipping down rain all day today. Foul. :grumpy: And it's already dark most of the time.... Good job there's a log stove I can gaze into and some Traditional Knives for beauty. Shadow in Blonde Horn.

Thanks, Will.

Ah that's right 2 blades in the 22. I have not been able to find a single blade Pemberton. I may need to pony up for my own SFO!

I love the #22, and that pair of jigged bone really looks great together.

I'm glad you're liking it!

I was waiting for traditional Sunday lunch with some family, and going to visit my dad's family later so I'm carrying the #65 he gave me (recently put a whole new edge on it):

Will, that shadow by Michele Frarachio looks quite appealing  Utility and beauty combined. The tang stamp looks interesting to me.

Why thank you. I got it from the Bay for almost nothing, about 4" closed and the horn is very nice. I can't make out what the stamp is, could be tongs/pliers or even old fashioned sheep shears with another symbol superimposed.

Regards, Will
