Here is an old Blish-Mize and Sillimar Hardware Company jackknife I salvaged. It arrived to me with one broken blade, and this one was horribly over sharpened out of shape. The bone handles were also cracked and partially broken off. I took it apart, reground the blade, and made it into a single blade folder, scaled with Osage Orange. I salvaged the shield and used my Dremel engraver to carefully carve out the recess and added it back to the new scales. It is a solid knife now that takes a super wicked edge. I think I am going to make it into an EO.

The bolsters are steel, so the nickel silver pins show up due to them being different shades.

^ Great job, and a lovely knife

I'm carrying these two today :)

What is that little fellow on the right? Looks like it's seen a lot of use, but well cared for.

Went to a show this weekend, and came home with these. Bad picture, but cool knives :D

Love those crown lifters, hard to get in Europe, or any GEC..
The little one you asked about is a Wostenholm I-XL, I'm not sure about the age, post WWII according to the markings, but before the seventies.

This pair of Ohta's today.

Case Mini Trapper today, Chestnut Bone CV:

JC57 - Gotta love that Chestnut.

Peanuts roasting on an open fire? I'll need to let this one cool off before I drop it back in my pocket.

I think I'll also take this one with me on my errands today

Gary, that is a beautiful matching set of stunners you have there. That stag is gorgeous!

Thanks, Evan. Hiroaki Ohta makes a really nice knife for a reasonable price. I don't know where he finds his stag, but it's excellent on the four knives of his that I own and he's a master at fitting it. I do like the rat tail bolsters and the bar shields he uses on many of his also.

It feels good to be home, this one has been in my pocket since returning from our trip :)
