What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Pocket-axe eh? ;) Good to have you back Duane, you and your big pockets! :) :D

Great match there Gary, two stunners

Thank you my friend :)

Thanks Jack! That's a sweet pair of ebony covered knives you're totin' today! Looks like they could have been made right down the road from the Sheffield Towne Hall!

My first Opinel. Trying to get used to how light it is, but $12 definitely well spent!

In my pocket today, a relatively new (less than 18 months) knife from a company called Great Eastern Cutlery:

They called this color "antique yellow," but mine is just plain "brown." Dark brown. Whatever color, I like it. Gets the job done.

Great knives posted today everyone:thumbup:

This just came in the mail...

And Brian...Thanks for the compliment on the Gunstock Walnut TC Barlow my friend:o;):p

Carried the Laguiole in the middle today, the one with the crack in the horn.
I was looking forward to steak and even got some.

Here is an old Blish-Mize and Sillimar Hardware Company jackknife I salvaged. It arrived to me with one broken blade, and this one was horribly over sharpened out of shape. The bone handles were also cracked and partially broken off. I took it apart, reground the blade, and made it into a single blade folder, scaled with Osage Orange. I salvaged the shield and used my Dremel engraver to carefully carve out the recess and added it back to the new scales. It is a solid knife now that takes a super wicked edge. I think I am going to make it into an EO.

The bolsters are steel, so the nickel silver pins show up due to them being different shades.

Great work! I'm envious of your skills:)

Andi, I ordered a 66 Serpentine Jack this weekend, due, in part, to seeing your beautiful knife on this forum. I saw one of your more recent photos and couldn't take it any longer...so I had to order one. Now my wallet is angry, but my knife collection is delighted. - Dave

Paul, I too, couldn't resist the lure of the recent batch of crownlifters. Mine is on its way. Does yours have half-stops?

Dave, it does have half stops and of course excellent f&f:thumbup: I look forward to seeing pictures of yours when it arrives.
