What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

#77 Yankee Jack, I believe. But it's not mine.

Ah-- you're right, there are no shields on the 'mericans. :o

But, my comment stands. :)

I'm still rocking this. Sarah, recognize the blade?

Sorry for the recycled pic.

Today's carry was my 50 year old Ulster Scout knife. My Dad gave this to me at 10 years old. It just evokes so many memories. I may be a bit nuts, but I even love the smell of an old knife that's been carried and well used it's entire life. The smell of steel, oil, and everything else it's cut into. And then the natural patina makes the blade silky smooth.

Hey, great Ulster scout knife BigBiscuit. In my humble opinion it is one of the best scout knives made and as it was a gift from your Dad at 10 years of age makes it extremely special. Below is my carry for the day.

I'm so glad I was able to hang onto it all these years.
I like that Mauser.

Lovely clean pics of a great knife

I'm going with these two today, both gifted to me at different times, by our pal in NZ, Duncan (Campbellclanman) :)
