Beautiful selection Lemmy, that Juniper Laguiole is quite something!

Well I had to swap out my Boker congress, my awesome wife asked if I checked the mail? I had not, she said go check and open the box....

After I picked my jaw up, I emailed her, to which she replied Merry Christmas
Case nailed it on this one as well as my lovely and kind wife.

Pete

Primble your kind words are always savoured! It's very thick slab bone too which is another draw.

Thanks, Will.

What a fantastic gift, my friend! :)
Amazing damascus on that one.

Merry Christmas, Pete! (a little soon, though - but now you can slice the Christmas meal with great damascus)

Thanks Sam -

Is that a 78 in Primitive Bone? Very nice that one. Traded away both of my 78's, since they weren't getting carried as much as my 15's and 77's, but sorta wish I had held onto one.

Pete, I had to laugh at myself just there, I was so excited for you that you'd think it was my knife! :D Very nice my friend, you're a lucky lad :)

Pete, if you had just said Case sodbuster, I wouldn't have been very excited, but this is no ordinary sodbuster!

Keep that wife; she's a good one!

Congrats on both Pete. Very nice.

Love your pocket dump, Sean! And your BF 2014 knife has the nicest stag of all that I have seen. Beautiful!

Thanks! It's taken my a long time to get to a stable pocket loadout. Believe it or not, I picked the Stag Jack up off the exchange shortly after they landed from someone who bought two. I couldn't believe Dan (Parke1) would let this one go.

Sean Have you darkened that stag at all?

Thanks, Will

Nope. I actually chipped off some of the darker and more aggressive "burnt" bits from the valleys on the mark side around the shield to reveal a little more of the raw stag underneath. I do tweak the levels and saturation in my pictures, but only to bring it out from the background and get it closer to what the knife actually looks like. Here are the unedited pictures:

And they show very mellow colours as well. Thanks for the info, but I suspect all carrying adds to the beauty.

Cheers, it is. I gave my Prim bone #85 to a friend a while back and had hankered after one since. This one has softened the blow nicely:)

still a fair few #78's about.....

Wow! That's really nice, Pete! Looks like you got a keeper from a keeper! ;)

It's definitely a user. I butcher an apple with it just about every day, and I use it for my steaks and meats for dinner. It's pretty special.

In my pocket today...but this is a very old picture, and the blades are now showing a good patina, and the bolsters are scratched from pocket change...

All is as it should be. Great bone. My anniversary is starting to show her patina. Can't wait to see it 10 years down the line.
