What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Same as the very first knife I ever bought (c 1963). Caused me to buy a Sabre as my second knife as well, a trapper which I still have and cherish.

All the Sabre discussion reminded me of this one, what may be the nicest Sabre in existence. A friend had this one rehandled in stag for me. It really is surprising the edge that flat-ground blade will take.

Nicest Sabre I've ever seen, you have a good friend. My Sabre Trapper served me well as the only knife I carried for six years. During that time it was used daily. It still has the original handle material and is as sharp as needed. There great knives. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Gevo and Aias. I like to find older books with character when I can.

Agreed! I have a Call of the Wild, first edition/ third printing and it is beautiful. A few other oldies too... Old volumes and traditionals work together aesthetically.

Thank you , the characteristics on the Ram Horn are great . What a difference from black G-10 . I'm really loving traditionals .

Thank you kindly Dave (dave308ek), it means a lot coming from fellow knife enthusiasts - it's been a blast putting what I've got together. Here's hoping 2015 brings more fun for us all! :)

My Northfield Ebony #73 will be with me today. Great size and great knife - and a real user - at least to me

I could curse these days as light is so darn tricky and a good pic is so hard to take with this misty light, on morning or afternoon! I hope they will turn out better when spring will be here.

Super gorgeous knife, Jack! The Box Elder (?) burl on it is fabulous!!! Thanks for the open shot:D

Thanks Gev, that sounds like a very well-informed opinion my friend. The site it came from described the covers as "wood". Other sites say cocobolo. It does look like a burl though doesn't it? I'll have to try to get some better pics, and would welcome your expert opinion :)

Nice pic Sturzi, hope you're keeping warm my friend

Great pic Brett

Had these three with me yesterday, and again today :)
