This Hawthorne is quickly displacing all my other edc's. There is just something about this knife that suits me.

Ok all you knife nuts... Carrying this in the afternoon.
Someone tell me more about this beauty that I received today. Who really makes this, where are they from, what is Rigid's history. Thank you.
It has been a good day.
First, I won my first GAW! Awesome. Then this beauty showed up. I am now in love with these fat Spear blades ever since I started my search for a EO 85. This will have to satisfy me till one comes my way. Hint Hint. :roll eyes:

I do not much about Rigid branded knives of yesteryear but I can tell you that was made by Canal Street Cutlery in 2008/2009 IIRC. 440 stainless blades.

TODD: IDK the history, but i'm 99% sure thats queen made
Cool. Thanks, I have heard that and Canal Street. I am starting to think Canal Street. I though Queen as well. Very similar in make to the Indian River Jack I had. A little better Fit and Finish on the Rigid. Thanks again.

Thank you. Stainless! Cool. That makes it even better for me. Blessings.

Carried this one the last few days...recovering from a fall on the ice and this one seemed to comfort me somehow. It's like the one my Dad gave me that was lost in the fire.

That is nice Woodrow. What is the closed length on it? How do you like the feel of it?

3 inches closed, but fits in the watch pocket nicely as advertised. I'm really liking this knife, feels great in the hand and the blades are really pretty useful. I was worried that the main blade would be too stubby, but it really works fine. It's a good worry stone and a fantastic apple slicer.

Nice knives STI Flyer and SAK Guy!
