What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I have been gone so much that I missed this years knife! It looks really good, haven't bought a knife in almost 2 years though. I should buy another slippy.

Thank you sir! It is a terrific knife. So many awesome variations in stag have been posted here and it's a great package. That's a sweet looking fixed blade ya got there. What's the story with that one?

Pocketing a new HSB that I received today.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

There is smoke coming off that one, Brett!! Great snag! How long closed?

I felt like a Farmer tonight.

Hey welcome in, mphysgr! The Stockman is a classic indeed. Should be a great tool for carving!

Thank you for the measurement. Just the perfect size. I too have been admiring your rotation:thumbup:

Brett and Gev, you guys are pullin' out the old guns! Those are both as good as it gets!

Thanks very much, Jeff! I have been enjoying your rotations as well, sir:thumbup:

Your choice, of course, but I like the two full sized, different shaped blades. It looks very useful.
I'm going to give it a week like it is and see, but the snap on the sheepsfoot is very weak due to the mismatched spring, and it feels like the tang is slightly rounded off. Time will tell.

Camco was one of the names Camillus used. It is a great looking knife and I love the bolster stamp and the covers!
Thanks! The covers are original I think. You can still see some saw cut pattern on then, but they have been worn smooth.

I am aware of the CAMCO thing, but my research shows the CAMCO stamp didn't start until a few years after the Tip Top stamp was used, and the two stamps were never intermingled on the same knife. CAMCO was their cheaper line.

Either way, I don't have a whole lot of cash tied up in it so I'm not really worried about it. It's a cool knife.

The pivot pin looks almost copper and almost certainly has been replaced. I was just noting at least its a Camillus blade. The bolster stamp alone, not to mention the original covers, make it a keeper in my book. If your decide to change out the blades I hope we get to see the finished knife. It should be very cool.

Totin my Farmer on my belt today .
It's really hard to photograph yourself wearing a knife in a sheath while wearing it so this is an older pic :)

I was off out for a hike today, but the weather is pretty horrendous here. I might have to put Plan B into operation ;) Carrying these two today :)

If plan B includes a pint, I need to get on the next flight out!!!('course a hike in your neck of the woods would be just as good ;) ) Great pair of Ebony's today Jack

Thanks Jeff :) I'm hoping it'll stop bouncing down long enough for me to make it to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, and then off to try and find this historic (but very well tucked-away) pub - http://www.gardengateleeds.co.uk/ - via an attractive section of the Leeds-Liverpool canal and the River Aire

Thanks ,
Its one I made recently and it is a bit unusual .
The leather is Rough Out instead of the usual way of having the smooth side out and the stud is used to retain the knife in the sheath if you want extra security against lose , I call it a lanyard fastener .
I've changed the lanyard slightly since that photo was taken .

I'm really enjoying my SAK's so most of my sheaths lately have been for them .
