What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you sir! It is a terrific knife. So many awesome variations in stag have been posted here and it's a great package. That's a sweet looking fixed blade ya got there. What's the story with that one?

I forged it this past summer at a hammer in/felting/bbq day, was 100% forged to shape with no profile grinding. Been toying with forge finish and then just a tumble/sand to descale and finish.

Great work on that fixed-blade Robert, nice to see you at work :)

Thanks ,
Its one I made recently and it is a bit unusual .
The leather is Rough Out instead of the usual way of having the smooth side out and the stud is used to retain the knife in the sheath if you want extra security against lose , I call it a lanyard fastener .
I've changed the lanyard slightly since that photo was taken .

I'm really enjoying my SAK's so most of my sheaths lately have been for them .

Thanks for the info Ken, that's a really clever and innovative design, and it looks great too, really nice work

Today I was almost some hours on the road. Buck 110 on my belt

... and the SBJ in my pocket

Jack, that pub looks amazing. I really need to start traveling and see more of this great world. I hope the weather turned better for you.

After finally getting my car fixed yesterday, today I can relax a little. Nothing like some good reading and a hot cup of coffee to start the morning.

Ridin' the #23 wagon this weekend!

Gevonovich - yesterday's Farmer was just terrific.

Todd - the scales on your J Sponaugle fixed blade are stunning.

JustDave, great company you have. Now I want that mug :)

Thanks, my friend. I got the mug at String Summit a couple of years ago. Steel, vacuum walls, whats not to like? The band's cool too.
I do love my Queens, the barehead is from the old Queen City era (20's) and the nut, well she just follows.

Peace and Love
JustDave

Sounds like good times and I cant find anything not to like with your mug or knives! I like the proud shield on that Jack in particular.

@ Brett & Gev, Great vintage knives guys!!!
Thank you, my friend. Have a great weekend!

That looks terrific Gev

Interesting sheath Ken
Hope the hike is wonderful...looks like it going to be. Todays carry is working on a favorite pair for you, I'd say:D I see why completely.

And Ken.....I love the sheath too!!

The lambsfoot is a beauty. Thank you for the compliment, Stephen. Hope the weekend is relaxing for you!!

Great work on that fixed-blade Robert, nice to see you at work :)

Thanks! Come spring I will be building a portable forge, my living situation doesn't allow for much industrious work but there are plenty of places I can take my smaller anvil and forge to blank knives out. I really want to make my first forged slipjoint knife but I need to research spring making more.

That logging chain makes a great tool-hanger.

Yeah he gave me ideas for my own setup, he found that chain in the woods up here and i'm kinda jealous...all I find in the woods is bear scat lol

Very cool. Very impressive work

Thanks!
