What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Stu,

What the heck is that!? That baby is SWEEEET!!

Thanks for the comment.
Elliott is right on the money, Rick Menefee made Lanny's Clip (Elliott has a killer one in Stag by Kerry Hampton. You can see it in this thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=565806&highlight=kerry).

The LC is my favorite pattern in a single blade, very substantial without being too big. Here it is in hand:

I've always held the opinion that the blade is the important component of a knife. Jigged bone, stag, ivory, and burl wood are nice and all, but if the steel is no good I don't want any part of it.

Here's one whose beauty is in the steel. The flat ground, carbon steel blades take a screaming sharp edge. The black delrin handles are nothing special to look at, but I will always have a soft spot for this knife because it has quality where it counts.

Had a handful of those in different patterns, Christian, all given away now. But you're quite right, Camillus built 'em with the same quality that went into their own branded knives and it's good steel.

I remember you had one rehandled in red bone Elliott. Whatever happened to that knife?

Sent it to a goofy dufus in Texas. ;)
Another one in root beer colored bone went to one of our stalwarts in R-Ken-Saw.

My Case SB Jack is in the pocket today:

Robert, I just found a new 12OT; that's a sweet little blade. Great picture!!

Just got it back from Agustus88. In my pocket all day. Boker Single Blade Copperhead 1095 steel.

I keep coming back to the picture of this knife, it is beautiful. May I ask how long the blade is? And, where similar knives are sold? I just looked on-line and did not find a Boker that was similar. Thanks.

David, that knife was modified/altered (if I recall correctly) from a two blade to a one blade knife which is why you don't see it on the vendor sites.

The closed length of those copperheads is 3.75".

(We don't provide vendor endorsements within our threads but if someone has information they will contact you via email, PM or visitor message.)
