What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It is a fine knife, Todd! I didn't realize before that it is a linerlock.
Perry

yea... I do love the liner lock... working on a trade for one w/o liner lock as well! :D

Cool pic :)

That FB is very nice too

Thank you... Actually I think the fixed is... (I know this might be blasphemy) a little nicer than FB. It is a Jared Oeser. Don't get me wrong... I love FB's, but Jared is stupendous at fit and finish on his handmade knives. By far... my favorite maker.

I just meant Fixed Blade with FB Todd, Jared did a superb job of that one :)

Gorgeous knife Primble, and of course finely photographed!

I was on the bulky side today... :D ... because I can :p

Buck 110 on my belt

and a Northfield #73 in great ebony wood in my pocket

Clutch: What is the cover material? I like it!

Thanks John, that means a lot coming from you. I consider you the King of Kool Kovers!
It's burlap and I think the liners are g10? I really like how he got the burlap so thin at the edges. The knife is a Jared Oeser.

This has been a fun thread although I admit to not going through the entire nearly 3000 pages...

My first pocket knife back when I was a kid was a little pearl handled slip joint single blade pen knife my uncle gave me with my father's consent. I followed that with the ubiquitous boy scout knife and have gone through a number of pocket knives over the years - but always carried one (and do still have my high school knives). The past decade or so have been dedicated like many to a long parade of various more tactical style knives - started with a Cold Steel but currently I have a handful of Spydercos, a Benchmade and my grail, a small Sebenza. I do still carry the Sebenza often as it is about as bland as a tactical style knife can be - and I am a lawyer so don't wear clothing well suited to EDC'ing bigger blades or tools.

But recently a friend gave me a Case large stockman (not sure of the color - it looks quite similar to burnt amber stag bone or crimson bone) which reinvigorated my interest in traditional folders ... sometimes time proven designs are time proven for a reason! I've added an amber bone Case peanut that i've been carrying a lot. But today it is a more recent acquisition... Really love the size and slim carry of the Northwoods Indian River Jack!

Thanks, Perry! I remember reading that Charlie wasn't happy with how the color came out on the PPP run of antique amber bone TC's, and they changed the dye on subsequent runs. I like it, though!
