Thanks for the compliments guys!!

Stephen, very good looking IRJ you have there.

Did you force a patina on the blade, and if so, what did you use? Any pics of it open?

Sean, the patina is from real honest use. Ya right! Had a farewell dinner party last night and I had helped prep dinner. Cut a bunch of pickles, onions, garlic, kiwis, mangoes and limes. I didn't clean it for bout a half hour then I spread some ketchup and sriracha hot sauce on the blade during dinner and then fell asleep for an hour or two. Woke up panicking thinking the blade must have completely rusted. So there you go, that's my secret patina recipe. Here's a rushed pic before it got too dark. Did I totally ruined my knife guys??:eek:

I got this 340t in a trade a while back. That main blade has been sharpened quite a few times but it still has some life left in it and I really like the size and blade selection on these 340t's. I'm really happy that they don't make those electric can openers with the knife sharpeners on the back of them anymore!

Nick, you have done it! You have discovered the perfect patina recipe, a centuries-old quest that has eluded these forums since the dawn of the World Wide Web! You've applied for the patent, right?!

Sonnemann, that is a beautiful sheepfoot Yankee Barlow! That is righteous stag!
