Sean, the patina is from real honest use. Ya right! Had a farewell dinner party last night and I had helped prep dinner. Cut a bunch of pickles, onions, garlic, kiwis, mangoes and limes. I didn't clean it for bout a half hour then I spread some ketchup and sriracha hot sauce on the blade during dinner and then fell asleep for an hour or two. Woke up panicking thinking the blade must have completely rusted. So there you go, that's my secret patina recipe. Here's a rushed pic before it got too dark. Did I totally ruin my knife guys??
