What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful knife. I thought I was doing good with Shiner and ribeyes for Texas Independence Day.

Edit: I looked a little harder. Nice knife.

Thank you very much.

Thank you, my friend! Greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much, Perry. I'm smitten and see way the swayback is such a favored pattern.

Off the charts gorgeous, Todd!!! Wow

Thanks. It is a special one.

Gettin some real nice patina on that stag 77!

Sonneman, that is a beautiful piece of stag! Especially beautiful knives today, everyone!

I'm having a hard time getting the patina to start on my new Barlow. I even checked to make sure it wasn't a stainless blade!

Not here yet... but I am carrying it with me in photo. Just in Time for Texas Independence in March.

Texas is finally going to be independent! Thank God! I always said Texas feels like a foreign country! Don't get me wrong, Texas is a great place to visit. Especially when you want to win a football game. 31-7. And Dallas is great for shopping. Especially if you want to buy your own NFL team. :p

Seriously, it is a beautiful knife. I could do without the Texas flag motif. Maybe a Razorback theme instead. But I think I would say Jared Oeser is a master. I have always admired your other Oeser knives. Congratulations!

Scott, you have a sweet one there! The deep ridges sure look gorgeous.

Thanks, Gev! It feels as good in the hand as it looks in the photo! I'm grateful to Mike for doing such a great SFO, and I really do think GEC's quality has been turned up a notch with these.

Really getting some use out of that bowl win. Guess it makes sense given how rarely it happens.

This Lloyd was with me today.

Stephen, that is a beautiful knife, and a beautiful photo!

Texas leads the series 56-22, but we are 6-6 over the last 12 meetings. I won't live to see the series evened up, but I look forward to gaining a little ground on UT. ;)

BTW, Charlie Strong being an Arkansawyer (That's right, we bought the Cowboys, now we're taking over Austin.), I expect the longhorns to pull it together quickly!

Missing a couple days requires some serious catch up time.

There's a few of us from the St. Louis area. The red bone on the Radio Jack you posted earlier is pretty sweet as well.

Scott... this is funny. Yes Texas pride can go overboard at times, but so can calling the hogs :-) A great month to have this delivered. Texas won its independence from Mexico in 1836 and remained a republic till 1846 with 5 president serving. One served twice (Sam Houston). And no, we cannot secede any time we want to. I love this great nation and the great state of Texas and this knife.

For the sake of traditional knives... here is another pic of my carry today.
