What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Got in a #15 ebony today but kept the trusty GEC#47viper by my side along with complimentary corgi.

I don't know if I believe you, Robb. ;) That looks like it was sharpened by a master and stropped to a professional edge. My knives come out sharp after I scrape 'em across the bottom of my coffee mug. But they always look like they took a ride in a gravel truck with all the scratches I put on the blades! :p

Gaah!! Now you can add reading problems to my photography problems. I read "crown lifter" as the crown lifter/screwdriver tool--which I hadn't polished. Now I understand it was a reference to the entire knife, and the edge of the knife. I use my knives mostly for slicing, so a give them an acute edge, then touch them up with whatever's handy--a steel, ceramic rod or Sharpmaker. Works great for cardboard, clamshell packaging and the like.

Jack - nice pair today. I had to google Geoff Duke, but Gunk I'm familiar with... well maybe not the product. ;)

Andi - I agree, the '13 forum knife is wonderful. I hope you feel better soon.

Peter - great looking 66!

oldmanrunning - I'm glad to see that you are still enjoying your Talon.

puukkoman - striking photos of three stunning ebony beauties.

Tom - terrific photo of two equally terrific Jacks.

Jim - good looking 15. Happy to hear that you're liking it.

Smithhammer - another excellent photo.

Erik - the only knife that I know of that compares to the stunning scales on your 72 is that Allen EO you have. ;) Would love to see some new photos of it at some point. :)

Pete - love the patina on both of those.

Invoice - I really like the scales on both of those.

RobbW - terrific first photo.

Kris - so much to like in those photos. Three stunners!

bearsquared - definitely in the spirit... celebrating St. Patrick's Day for 48 hours. :D

Sonnemann - impressive sheep herd.

link2derek - looks like it was a nice day to be in the woods, and the locale looks mighty nice too, as does today's fixed blade.

Paul - the Freemont pairs well with the SAK.

Ron - 3 days in a row? I can see why, that's a wonderful looking Northwoods.

Ryan - I love the bolster stamping on your Craftsman Barlow.

Mark - I could stare at the stag scales on your Charlow all day.

r8shell - might not be fancy, but definitely a classic.

Ryouchijtx - I've seen dogleg jacks and swaybacks before, but the 'dogsback' pattern is a new one on me. ;) Just kidding... interesting photo and a nice knife.

Buzzbait - wow! That one is a real beauty!

Back to this Lambsfoot for me today.

My boy found his knife

My wife cringed... but I smiled and said out loud "That is the most awesome picture I have ever seen." She said "what?' I then said "baby, he's asleep" followed by "Awesome!" again. :-)
Thanks for sharing.
