Thought I lost this scout knife, was very happy to find it today :).

Glad you found your scout! I'm carrying mine today too:

Excellent scouts, Tom and Jordan!:thumbup: I don't know why I keep fighting it; my first knife (and really only knife until about a year ago) was a scout knife, a Colonial Forest-Master in about 1960, and every time I see a nice scout I think to myself, "That's what I really want to carry!"
Tom, special thanks to you for supporting the Detroit Tigers on their opening day with your choice of black and orange color scheme! :p

Happy Resurrection Sunday... A day for celebration and family.
...
and the little boy... he loves knives as well.

Very cool photos of kids and knives, Todd!:thumbup: But what really caught my eye were those stellar "porch swings" in the arbor in the background!! If I had that set-up, I think I'd spend about 4 hours every summer evening finding things to keep me busy in a swing. :D:D

Outstanding, David! Pictures like that are gonna put me on the road to Damascus if I'm not careful!:D:eek:

Gave my 48 some pocket time today. Hope y'all enjoyed your Easter Sunday.

Help me, Doctor! What's the story behind that knife? Is the shield a map of Ohio?? Curious, but very cool!:confused::thumbup:

...
I'm carrying these two today :)

Stag day today...

I can´t get enough of that F. Hartkopf, Solingen

Shield side...

...

...Here's my Barehead carry for today (cold 2c and rain/sleet, yesterday was beautifully sunny and mellow) this was inspired by Paul talking about forthcoming GEC re-runs.

Superb knives, Jack & Andi & Will!:thumbup: Andi, that Hartkopf stag is breath-taking!:thumbup:

Are the knives in this most awesome of threads getting better and better and better? Or is something - in me - changing in the way I view these knives?

Here is mine for today:

I rarely carry a traditional. But after my small Sebenza 21 opened in my pocket without my consent and stabbed me, I decided to carry this Queen Cattle King in order to teach the Sebenza that bad behavior has consequences.

Ouch! Careful this doesn't lead you down the traditional slippery slope ;)

Thanks! The scout pattern is one of my favorites and I carry them quite frequently. You can't go wrong with a nice big blade for cutting, an awl for putting holes in things, and a bottle cap lifter for when work is done. I don't think I've ever **needed** to use the can opener though, so I'd be OK if they were omitted or replaced with something nifty-er.

That's one thing I really like about the Vic Electrician - can opener replaced with a little sheepsfoot blade.

Whittling away on this gloomy day. This stockman is my only sheepsfoot, so it gets 100% of the carving duties around here. I tell you what, this blackwood takes the word hard wood to a whole new level!

Aww man! Now I'm going to have to get me one of these!!

DO IT, Jordan!! :D:D You'll have absolutely no regrets, and you can probably get a brand new one for under $30! (Actually, there are some folks who don't care for the "wire-stripping notch" at the base of the sheepsfoot blade, but it doesn't bother me at all.) I carry and use mine almost every day. Hey, I used it yesterday; here's a photo:

Thanks for the kind words GT :) Nice Electrician, it's one of those knives I keep meaning to buy! :D

Thanks for the kind words about the Friedrich Hartkopf, fellows. It is a great knife indeed and one of my favorite lockbacks. A handfilling piece of awesomness :D ;)
