What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That BF's knife is a great one Anthony.

Thats a fine lookin fire too. I haven't stood around the fire since hunting season :( I think I see some arrows stickin up in the foreground

Thanks Mike, my good friend.. Those Arrows are hand made that you are seeing. I am very much like you, pard.. I need a good warm fire too!. If'n I had my way, you and yours and entire whole gang here in this traditional community would be invited and gathered around our nightly fires down here!. We'd all have us a grand ole time to be sure!! :)

All the very best of GODS Blessings and a safe holiday season to all of y'all on this Christmas evening,

Anthony

Carrying my christmass present I got from Mum today :) Kutmaster TL-29, brown plastic scales, still working on putting an edge on it, but im as good at sharping as headless sloth so. Merry Christmass and Happy Yule! (and all the other ones too)

I took two traditional knives out of the drawer this morning.
The Ruger (Case) Pocket Hunter in Stag opened all the boxes etc.. that needed a knife:

The Bret Dowell Dogleg cut my ham at dinner, and impressed my nephew who was carrying his new Case Peanut:

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Being home for Christmas I'm carrying this 125OT in my back pocket, but so far I didn't need it. Especially not for Christmas dinner: A very very tender roast saddle of venison.

Same to you Anthony. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas.
The arrows look great. I've never made any by hand. I did some years back, but I cheated and used a fletching jig :D

If I ever get to Florida, I'll take you up on the fire offering :D

You are more than welcome to jon us at camp if you ever get out this way. When we go camping, we have "Captain Morgan fires" . You can probably see them from Outer Space  Its never a problem though, because we camp in areas that are far away from civilization :D

Today I'm carrying my first Buck slip joint. I got it from Travis for Christmas.
Its a Charcoal 301 Stockman. I really like it.
I was going to take pictures of it today and post it, but it is snowin and blowin hard outside, and my indoor pics are even worse than my outdoor pics

Out of all these in the EDC drawer -

This one keeps getting the most pocket time! Northwoods 2 blade Jack in D2 and stag. It carries great, you barely know it's there, and cuts like a knife...

Man it sounds nice with a campfire, Its cold as ice here so I have my fire inside in a stowe with glasses to see the fire. Sitting in a comforable shair beside the warm stove looking at tv where its a program about the canadian olympic games. It was swedens most sucsessfull ever and as Im a sucker for cross country skiing I have even cryed a little of joy.
As usual I have my stockman in the pocket but Im sharpening my EKA swede 38 that I shanged blades on yesterday. It sure feels nice in the hands. Smoth from linseedoil and sharp dark gray carbon steel blade. In my hands It gives memories of being a teenager in the forest. Thinking of it I cant imagine why I didnt bring some highland park to the fire. Must do something about it.

<An old wolf comes wondering back in after a long bit away>
My usual as of late, a Queen single blade jack given to me by some guy up in B.C. in one pocket, a battered Victorinox Classic in the other, a Queen BEM folding hunter in a mag pouch on my duty belt (I'm at work), and a Cold Steel Mini-Culloden around my neck under my top.

See ya around guys. I might stay awhile for a while.

Walked out the door without my slippie today. Now I had a nice Buck with me but not a Trad. After about an hour fussing over the missing weight in my front left pocket I gave up, went home and grabbed my swayback. Now all's right with the world.:D:thumbup:
