What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice pic. I was just thinking today how much I would like to go fishing. I carry my tackle in an Altoids tin, too.

Thanks! The place I wanted to try out today was kind of a hike from where I had to park, so it was nice to just throw a couple of lures in the tin and drop it in my pocket. I actually have all of my popsicle sticks cut to make compartments with a pull out tray, a true tiny tin tackle box! :D No luck with the fish but I did see two Great Horned Owls, so that was fun.

Taxes are due. Finals are next week. Interviews are coming up. It's a heck of a week. My brand new modern traditional Cold Steel Kudu, Victorinox Huntsman, and Great Eastern Cutlery Tidioute Charlie Campagna SFO TC Barlow Single Sheepfoot in Smooth Ivory Bone have been worthy companions. Can't beat the Kudu for less than $6 shipped.

It's been a very long day. This evening I have this Case CV Stockman with punch.

Nice stockman, Frank. I may have to find myself one of those.
Then I can stop pushing so hard for a PunchNut that may never happen. :)

Really nice John, a great pattern from Ken.

Thanks Jerry, Ken sure makes a great knife. I appreciate a pinchable blade for EDC and the stag texture works. 360 degree coining disappears into the backspring, even under the intense scrutiny of my macro lens, it's perfect.

Jack - that's a very interesting Joker you showed today. Both the blade shape and the back spring are quite unique and attractive in my opinion. Very nice.

P - a beautifully captured photo of your Charlow.

nugun55 - I can see why you'd be quick to pocket that Queen Barlow. It's very handsome.

Bloefield - you've got quite an impressive collection of OT's. I wonder how many you have in total?

wazu013 - wonderful colors on the stag on that one.

JW85 - congrats on the new 307.

Jeff - the Cuban in stainless looks terrific. I really like the acorn shield that GEC uses on their stainless line.

Mark - I hope you had a good time and didn't have to many 'sodas' on the course today. Though if I were carrying that Crown Lifter, I would have found every possible excuse to pull it out and use it myself.

soldik - that's a really wonderful looking Languiole.

Tom - striking photo, and two gorgeous knives you're carrying today.

Andi - the 110 pairs nicely with the Charlow.

David - beautiful carbon fiber Davison with two terrific blade choices (and long pulls too). Very nice.

Flint Hills - nice knife, nice setup, and a wonderful photo.

wouldestous - the Altor Castor Pequena is a terrific little knife and a great slicer too.

Ryan - your wife has terrific taste in knives.

Smithhammer - that bloodwood Toenail is really spectacular!

Scott - the blade is just about as soupy as the bone on that Charlow. ;)

combatjiujitsu - that's some patina you're developing on that one.

supratentorial - gorgeous American Whittler and an equally lovely photo of your setup.

Ron - terrific pair of old Cases today.

SAK Guy - outstanding photo sir.

John - your Erickson is really a treasure to behold. I like everything about that one.

Derek - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Still a terrific pairing.

ALLHSS - the Kudu is a very interesting and attractive knife. Best of luck with the taxes, tests, and interviews.

Todd - I love that single blade ebony Scout.

Frank - here's hoping that tomorrow isn't such a long day for you. The Case stockman is a nice consolation after a long day though.

Thanks, Old & In The Way! Appreciate it. I'll be carrying the same trio tomorrow, unless I decide on a different "orthodox" traditional.

(and I do mean to use the word orthodox, as in fitting with the traditional literature. I predict my GEC #33, #77, or my Queen Utility #11)

EDIT: added Oxford comma, cause I ain't no barbarian.

Hope you got a chance to put your feet up Frank

Thanks Stephen, it came to me from Barcelona last week :)

Thanks for the kind words, Stephen! Much appreciated - and actually; they work great together :)
