What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Whew mamma! I like those mini moose knives but they seem very small to me. How do you like it??

At 3 1/4" it is fairly small, but still quite capable in my opinion. It makes for a handy watch pocket carry and I do like it a lot, but I'm not averse to small knives in general. Hope this helps.

Oh how I missed you guys... was on a few weeks of a media fast.

I picked one of these up before the break and carried it every day since.

Lots of lovely knives and beautiful shots folks. Hope you all have a good Friday, and an even better weekend

I'm still worn out from my travels yesterday - 3 markets and 2 antique centres in 3 different towns, and I didn't see a thing worth buying! :(

Slipping this old Alfred Blackwell in my pocket today for Old Friends Friday :)

Last night's brews, this morning's read, and today's carry. ***please don't flag me mods**actually a decent read

And a fine one it is to have and carry Jack.

Jack - lots of character in that old Alfred Blackwell. Sorry to hear that your trip yesterday didn't result in any new knives, but hope you enjoyed the hunt none the less. :)

Ebony and Ivory with me today.

It certainly is

Thanks Jack!

Who makes that scout knife? Also, I really wish I could make a small fixed blade work for me, I love the city knife...

That scout knife is a Primble I bought at a knife show a while back for a pittance. It is stamped BelKnap, but I am unsure of the age of it. What struck me about this particular knife was that it had been well sharpened, and well cared for, but also used a great deal. Someone definitely carried this for a long time before me. It still has a lot of life left in it, and is a joy to use. It is fun for me to get to carry a classic like this that someone else really appreciated in a different era.

To get a fixed blade to work for me on a daily basis I had to get a pocket sheath. I'd prefer to belt carry but that isn't feasable for me, especially at work. The pocket sheath felt a little wierd at first, but now it is just as comfortable as carrying a wallet. For me anyway :)
