What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

After seeing all the pics and trying out one of Tom's City Knives (Whetstone39), I decided I needed one of my own ….. before Tom bought 'em all! ;) This one clad in Cocobolo arrived today. I'm a happy man! :)

Great knives all, Phill yours is particularly impressive!
Still have this one with me. Developing plenty of 'appreciation' marks from riding shotgun everywhere.

Jeff - Your whittler is stunning , nice work on the modification.

For me today:

Thanks Tom, the humpback is a very undervalued pattern in my mind, and I like the vibrant fall colors on this 2009 goldenrod bone version.
Your orange alox with the bright blue lanyard is brilliant!

I tend to carry the same knife for several days in a row. That has been the case for this GEC 77 Northfield. I used it today in the shop to trim off the waste from this project.

Very nice knife , but so is that thing you just turned. My thoughts are that it is 2 Tops that you eventually separate. But nice work to turn no matter what it is.

My thoughts too Harry. Or perhaps two acorns? Whatever the case it's a great project for the #77 to assist with.

Chris

Tim, Dean and Harry, thank you for the kind words. Harry, you are correct that the two parts would be separated. They are actually acorns. They are part of an article I am writing about texture/wood burning. I was happy to use the Barlow when it came time to carve off the waste! It added a bit of extra enjoyment in the day.

Curtis

edit: and Chris for the win!

Great looking Northwoods, David. Is that one ivory?

David, I like that Ivory Fremont a lot, but I think I like the Ivory Gunstock even better because of it's uniqueness and rarity. Bot are very classy looking though.

Thanks Dean & Bob! Bob - I agree, the gunstock is my favorite of the two - just don't see many of those around...taken together, those are my two favorite production pieces for sure.

Another day of beauties all around :thumbup::thumbup:

You guys are really putting the hurt on this old man with those sweet EDC fixed blades :D:eek:

I noticed where Primble had already taken the plunge :D

I may just make this a "Wooden Week" :)
