Very nice knife , but so is that thing you just turned. My thoughts are that it is 2 Tops that you eventually separate. But nice work to turn no matter what it is.

Thanks for the explanation and for posting the wonderful pic.I'm not sure what to call it on the pruner. I've just been calling it a buttcap. I believe on Primble's doctor's knife it would be called a pillbuster.
