What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I started out yesterday morning with my 73 Cocobolo in my pocket. My wife and I headed out to an area Craft Show.

This was the 53rd annual show so we figured that it would be nice. The weather was beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky.

Well, as the saying goes, "To make a long story short" we got to the show and started looking around. About 30 mins

into the journey down the long winding maze of handmade Arts and Crafts vendors I came across a booth that had on

display and for sell some pretty nice looking hand made fixed blades. After seeing all the interest lately around this place

I could not help but pick out one to take home. I ended up with the one shown here. It is 1095 tempered to 58 R/C.

The handles are Pecan. I believe he called it Spalted Pecan. It is not bad to look at. It fits my hand nicely. I will have

to reserve judgement on the performance until I give it some trials. I carried it the rest of the day in the handmade sheath

that came with the knife. I stood it up against the back edge of my pocket and it stayed in place OK. I will have to check

out some sheath options that will better accommodate pocket carry. Oh yes, before I forget and you all think I am a lousy husband

taking my wife to a Craft Show and buying a Handmade Knife, I did buy her a bar of handmade soap and a handcrafted scarf :D

Haha more like she's an amazing wife Ron for not saying anything about buying knives ;) Great looking blade, the grind looks really crisp.
