What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I have talked to Bob several times in the last couple of days. I just received a text from Bob.
He is out of surgery and resting. I will let Bob tell everyone about how things went in his own time.
I have been praying for Bob and his family and I have expressed this to him several times. Bob is
a tried and true member of this forum. I am proud to know him and call him my friend.

I was able to get one of Bob's knives off of the exchange toward the end of last week. It is a 2014
Blade Forums Stag Jack. It has some mightY fine Stag, very well matched. I am proud to own it, especially
since it belonged to my friend Bob.

I carried this Stag Jack today in honor of my friend Bob. Every time I reached in my pocket and felt of this
knife, and it was guite a few times, I would think of and say a little prayer for Bob.

Praying for you a speedy recovery and for strength for your family during these times.
God Bless you "BigBiscuit"

Thanks for the update, Ron!! I knew Bob was scheduled for surgery today, and I'm so glad to hear that he came through it. I almost always carry a chestnut bone Sodbuster Jr I won in Bob's GAW before his surgery early in the year, and use it as a "prayer reminder" for Bob (and for a surprisingly extensive list of BF members that make up a section of my daily prayer list). My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with Bob, his family, and his "medical team" going forward. Bob's attitude in the face of the challenges he faces each day is a real inspiration to me!

Ron, thanks for letting us know. Like r8shell, I think I'll carry my '14 forum knife tomorrow too.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Bob.

Always carrying the Remington R-4, but this one is riding shotgun as I get it cleaned up as a gift for my 86 year old father-in-law for Father's Day. He's an avid traditional knife collector, and has recently shown an interest in slipjoints from the period of his boyhood. This Camillus is kind of like Pa. It's a little old and wobbly, but still plenty sharp.

This will be in my pocket tomorrow as an honor to Bob. Bob is and has been in my prayers.

This one was, still is, in my pocket today. It has been with me at least a portion of every day since I received it.

Ron, sometimes I just post my carry and casually glance at all the nice knives. Then I noticed all the forum knives and traced it back to your post. I keep in touch with Bob also and entered today in my phones calender and told Bob I'd call him today. I wasn't sure when would be a good time. So I called about 6:30 central. Groggy as should be expected but he was still willing to talk...quite chatty at that:thumbup:

I bought a Harness Jack off Bob a few weeks back and in addition to my carry I had the HJ on me as well today via backpocket. So in honor of our friend, I to will dawn the stag forum knife for Bob:thumbup:

I told Bob to rest a few days and I'd ring him this weekend. I told him his family on the porch were praying and pulling for him. Bob is pure class and I am blessed to be his friend:cool: Get better buddy:thumbup:

Nice post Ron:)

I don't know bob, but sounds like he is well loved around here. Will throw some stag in my pocket tomorrow and wish him well.

Thanks for keeping us posted Ron. Bob will be with me today

Same new combo for me, every work day.
