The civility of this forum never ceases to amaze me; I work in the firearms industry, and frankly it's dog-eat-dog on gun forums. Coming here is a wonderful change of pace.

A perfect example: I don't know Bob; I've read a lot of his posts but I don't think we've ever interacted - and yet I find myself concerned about his health and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Sharpened up my Grandpa's old Case, for my younger brother. He just toured cross country from Nashville back to Portland for the summer, camping and playing shows all the way back. He carried this knife the whole trip, despite it being dull as a pointed stick and having a sheath held together with duct tape.

This sharpened up like a dream, all knives should take an edge like this old steel.

To remind me to keep Bob in my prayers, I always carry this Sodbuster Jr I was fortunate enough to win in one of Bob's GAWs in January:

And in solidarity with the very touching movement to carry 2014 BF knives, or other stag knives, in support of Bob, I carried this 2014 BF knife I recently got from Markesharp. It's not stag anymore after Mark worked his magic, but the fact that it came to me via Mark's generosity makes it seem to me that the knife can be a symbol of the "porch family feeling" that Bob exemplifies so well!
