What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Several months back Bob, aka "BigBiscuit", gifted me this beautiful 56 BEJ in Spring Green Jigged Bone.

I had saw this knife posted and I offered Bob a trade which he kindly declined. Well I thought that was that as the saying goes.

Bob being the sly individual that he is PM'd me some time later asking for my mailing address. He said that he had something

to send me. He specifically stated and I quote "It is not green!" When the package arrived and I opened it to my surprise this

beauty was in the package. Bob I am carrying this 56 today and I have been thinking of you and praying for you and your family.

I hope you are having a restful Sunday and stay strong my friend!

Thank you so much Ron. Just glad you like it. It was my pleasure to gift it to a very deserving guy. :D :thumbup:
Oh and I apologize for lying about it not being green. :foot: :D :D

The ivory grain on there really shows through after darkening up a bit BrotherJim. Or is it mammoth ivory? Beautiful`

Thanks Ryouchijtx !!!
Smooth bone. It just looks enhanced from post production photo manipulation (sharpen and unsharp mask) in Gimp.

Bob really likes his 56 Doglegs Ron :D That green is mesmerizing. Hope you're well Bob~

Tim - Thanks, the green is beautiful :thumbup:

Bob - Thanks again for the 56 my friend! Even though I thanked you at the time I have never posted this beautiful gift. I have never told the story before so I felt like this was the appropriate time. Praying for you and yours, rest well my friend:)

Ron, you and your Mrs. Have been such a great source of support and strength to me, it's the least I could do.

:eek: à la Bourguignonne

I see a question mark so....yes it is an equal end cattle knife. It is one of my favorites for some reason.

With out Googling à la Bourguignonne, I will take that as cooked in Garlic butter. :eek::D I can see why it is a favorite! :thumbup:

I know what you mean ! :thumbup::D

Where do you find all them critters ?!

Great shot ! :thumbup::thumbup::D

In the backyard...lol. My mother always had lots of plants and I guess it rubbed off on me. Lots of biotopes equals lots of critters

I like to make lots of these with different plants and things:

Bret: I've been waiting to order my first #73, and was hoping this run would have something like that, very nice!

Stephen: ya don't say.....I just received my first pair of 66's. I was more delighted with the #66 than I anticipated. First came the Primitive bone, liked it so much I ordered an ebony right away. Again, delighted more than I'd expected, the ebony has a surprisingly indescribable feel to it that clearly distinguishes it from any other smooth scale like bone or acrylic. A new favorite of mine for sure.

That primitive bone is beautiful...ethereal! Thanks for sharing with us Maple Tree.

Great pics Gev :thumbup:

Putting some Caharlow Power in my pocket today ;) :thumbup:

This is what is so rewarding about Primitive Bone: it's even more individual & complex than stag. Best example I've seen and an outstanding knife :thumbup::thumbup: Now, if I could find an Owl like that (sans bail...) I might just give everything else up:D:confused:

Thanks, Will

I like the AG Russell Tom, nice red bone :thumbup:

Carrying these two again today. I need an antiquated mouse trap and some biotopes for enhanced picture effects! :eek:
