Nice carries today Paul. Love the Northwoods and that little battle ax is too cool.

Chris

Thanks Chris, I really like the Northwoods, it fills the hand and the blade is great...it's a stout blade but has great cutting ability

Paul, that battle ax is awesome! :D love the carry choices to.

Thanks Bob, I like things like that...little works of art, just a neat little piece:thumbup:

Looks like rain forecasted this Friday so I'll try and give you a call then. Hope your feeling better buddy:thumbup:

Paul that axe is awesome! I saw Nikola (a bladeforums member whose knives are on my short list to grab) make a few of those and thought of grabbing one. Between the knives, the axe, the Rev 3, and the silver bullet I would say you are covering all your bases. :D:thumbup:

Brett, I'm a sucker for smalls, if they're unique its not a hard sell for me:o I love buying silver and when I came across the .45 and .308 cal it was a no brainer for me;)

Very awesome axe, Paul!! Is it meant to be worn on a chain?

Thanks Gev, they're listed as key chains but I'm with you...could easily be a necklace:cool:

Nope, it was the Coffin Jack that made this purchase possible:)

Ron, the Ebony on this 72 is fantastic! So deep and rich. I really like this pattern with the smaller pen secondary blade. Very nice.

Thank you Bob! This is some of the nicest Ebony I own! It has a silky feel to it and the color speaks for itself.
I like this pattern very much so far. This is my 1st 72 pattern.:D

Thanks, Jordan. :) The best part is that I didn't have to do any stitching myself, which is a good thing, given my current skill level. :o The one from the webbing just needed some existing stitches removed to make an entry and to transform it from a flat piece of folded leather into a "pouch", and the one from the wrist strap just needed to be cut to the appropriate length; the only tool needed in either case was a sharp knife, of which I had several! :D:D

Brilliant repurposing either way. I dig it!

I have this Cocobolo 73 in my pocket that I just received from Brett yesterday. I spent last night sharpening it up and getting things flush on the frame. I also turned the spey into a bit of a drop point while I was at my bench. This is a really nice knife and I had a great time playing with it and getting to know it. The wood is excellent on this one and the stamped blade is just great! I put a satin finish on the bolsters and backsprings but left the patina and pepper spots on the blade. This knife has been used by previous owners and I really like the look it’s acquired. For a large knife with steel liners and bolsters it carries exceptionally well! The clip blade is nice and easy to get out (about a 4 or 5) while the spey/drop point is a nice firm 7. I never had a knife with different springs like this and I REALLY like the idea. One blade for quick access and the harder to reach and harder to open blade for longer jobs that may require more lock strength.

I’m very happy with it!
