What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

We are going to BBQ Tri-Tips today and I'll be using the pictured knife to open cans of "Bush's Maple Cured Bacon Baked Beans" to which the wife will add brown sugar and strips of fried bacon and to open bottles of Miller High Life bottled beer. What better knife to use on our 4th of July Independence Day than a USA made Camillus utility knife issued to me while I was in the U.S. Navy.

Happy 4th of July to my Southern neighbors!

This one came in the mail yesterday, so decided to throw it in the pocket today :)

Great color in that jigging Rachel.

Hope you all have a great 4th.

Thanks. It's the knife I like to carry on holidays. Not just for the cap lifter, but because it's so festive.

Stupendous stag, Stephen!!:thumbup: Well done, Jack! ;);)

Thanks GT

Happy 4th of July everyone. I going with pure American made today. The belt buckle was a gift from Al Dodge and N.E. Tim. Tim contacted me out of the blue and asked if I'd like to meet up and show off some of our knives...Davison's in particular. We met at the Case museum and that's where I was gifted this buckle. Al and Tim collaborated on the design and had them made by a company in the U.S.A. There were 100 made, and this one is #82 to go with my #1182 birthday knife.

Great pic Jake, and that must have been a fantastic meeting

You're not wrong there Tim! :D Hope you did OK, and that the move goes well. Those two look good together

haha we made a good amount. All for a rainy day. Thank you Jack, it'll be an interesting move away from somewhere with a backyard. Thank you :) I love the Opinel, it may seem 'bulky' to some but it's a perfect knife. The Whittler is the looker.

Unfortunately, today I go naked. Leaving for Hawaii in a couple hours, no knives on the plane.
Got an Electrician and a couple RRs in the kit bag for when I arrive, but the next 14 hours look bleak. :(
Have a safe and enjoyable trip, Jeff!:thumbup: I hope we hear some stories of the Electrician in the islands; sounds like paradise to me! :D

Congrats, Jake; very cool buckle!:cool: Kudos to Al and Tim for the thoughtful gift!:thumbup:

How's this for fireworks?...
Happy 4th of July!
KABOOM!! That Crown Lifter's colors have me oohing and aahing, Rachel! :D:D

Congrats, Mike; that's a delicious-looking knife!! :thumbup::cool:

Mammoth Barlow selected ... so far so good...
Fantastic mammoth, BroJim!! Have to confess I'm distracted by the signed baseball; can you give a little background about it?

Happy 4th everybody!
...
Love the seasonal knife photos!!:thumbup::D

Cool pic, Tim!!:cool: Have I read that you use your Opinel for whittling? I love my Opinels, but I've never tried whittling with them; gonna have to give that a try.

Last day of the week for me; tomorrow I'll pick a new batch of knives for the coming week. But I should display a couple others from this week before they lose their places. Actually, the first photo shows a Vic Electrician and a Case delrin SS Peanut that I carry every week, so they'll still have pocket time after today. Second pic is a little Colonial jack (thanks, Mark) that's been in my watch pocket all week. (Didn't have a photo of the Colonial by itself, so I had to cut it out of a group shot, hence the strange background. :( A pro photog I'm NOT.)

5k, I love that old slip of yours. It looks well "loved" to say the least.
I ditched the presidential for this Camillus today.
