Cool pic

That's a beauty Jake

Glad to hear you're getting some kind of respite, Jack!;)

Thanks pal ;)

Ron, Primble, Jack, and Grump1, thanks for the encouraging words; much appreciated! :)
Jack, I wish I were in as great a shape as my knives!:D Is your knife clean-up related to the "oil fiasco" you've mentioned in the past? Good luck!

My intended clean-up related to the pile of recent purchases that need some love and attention GT. Unfortunately it didn't get very far as I ended up having to work. I have some new oil now, so the Big Clean-Up will have to come soon! :D

Great-looking Joker my friend

Thanks Jack, it is a Jewell Trigger. After posting it I realized it may not have looked good in the foreground but I love all things mechanical. Watches, cameras, optics, etc. Arnold Jewell had a little shop in San Marcos Texas and got the idea for his trigger by watching how the landing gear of airplanes worked. http://singleactions.proboards.com/thread/11487/building-benchrest-rifle?page=9

Thanks a lot for that Dave, very interesting

Thanks Erik !!!
I'm impressed with the quality of it too.
The bone didn't come with burrs either, like other jigged knives I've bought.
The bone was nice and smooth right out of the provided KSF pocket slip.

Seeing as how this Northwoods Peanut just arrived this morning he has eased his Northwoods Norfolk cousin out of my peanut pocket and made himself right at home.

Patina Contest: was there a determined ending time when the knives would be judged? If not, then I don't see the game as being over yet. You all must polish out your patinas and start over!! No power tools either. You must use paper and polish, using your hand only. Ready....set....GO!!

Still lovin' my Camillus\Buck 301 today. You really have to feel this knife in your hand to truly appreciate it.

Thanks Primble & Jack for the compliment. Appeciate that.

Shane - That is a cool pic sir. That 66 has an amazing patina

Laid down the 73 for my 85 today.

Been away from the porch for a while, it seems I have a lot of catching up to do!

Congratulations to Ryan (556hunter) on the new life in AR!

Case Soddie Jr for me today.
