I would really love to see more of these.Feeling old today so I figured I'd carry a pair of old geezers today...
Top is a Graef & Schmidt Swell End Jack early 30s to late 40s, smoky bone scales, this is a beautiful knife. When I found it it was rusted shut and covered in latex paint like someone dropped in the paint and put it away covered in paint. After I got it opened I saw the main spear blade was scalloped from where the previous owner used it to open paint cans and chipped out the blade.
I reground the blade and cleaned and oiled all the joints, surprisingly the back springs didn't lose its spring. This knife gave new meaning to the phrase "...road hard and put away wet." It was an abused knife that the original owner didn't deserve and I'm so glad I didn't trash it and rescued it instead.
The other is a favorite here already, a 1911-1913 Union Knifeworks NYC Moose pattern with jigged bone scales that I also rescued from the bottom of a rusty toolbox.

You gotta love rescue blades...![]()
Sam is that Ken's EDC pattern? I love both of mine![]()
Primble, that is a lovely gunstock. The bone is drool worthy.
Ron, I like your choice for Sunday. Such rich color on the saw cut bone.
Erickson nailed it with that shadow pattern. Great carry for a Sunday Sam.
Chris
