Nice knife. This is the new rendition made in South Africa. Originally itwas made in Germany for the Colonies in Africa (Namibia / Togo). In this shape she has a Spanish navaja flavor.

There are some good knifemakers in S.A. , Des Horn will attend next SICAC in september. I'l try to take some pictures.

Thank you, yes indeed my friend. I quite like it, and find the simplicity of the external spring interesting (only had one like this before and it was 30 years ago). I probably won't carry it a lot as it's a bit large for EDC here, but a nice interesting 'cheapie' :thumbup:

Man o man that is an interesting and wondrous piece, Mark!!! That shield is just awesome, reminds me of one used by Cattaraugus. The nail blade is always super to see and check out that candy licorice bone! Great main blade and of course split spring goodness:thumbup::thumbup::D

I thought their was some copy cattin going on....lol! I have not seen any molting going on yet with the circadas, but I hear them:D You got that right ...that knife is on fire!!!
