Once again great knives from everyone.

I really like the rams horn and am seriously interested in the lime cutters.

Carried this one today.

Thanks, Rick! :) It's always encouraging when someone actually recognizes what I'm trying to do with a whittling project. :p
That one started out as just a large chunk of ground cover/mulch under the bushes near a bus stop I use, and it was all black from being under the snow and ice all winter. So at first I was just mindlessly shaving off the outer layer and thinking maybe I'd try a rocket ship. But on the day that "inspiration" hit, I was finishing the clean-up with a congress knife and noticed the curvature of my wood chunk and decided to try to whittle a simple little congress pattern knife.

Maybe I should make that a recurring theme. There are lots of knife patterns that I like and are quite distinctive that could serve as "models" for my projects. And whittling a knife is kinda cool because you can start out quite basic and gradually put in all kinds of details as time goes by.

I hope you keep us up-dated with your progress GT !!!

Thanks for your interest, Harry. IF I make progress, I'll be sure to post updates. My problem is I have big plans and little time; I think I should have put off acquiring a knife hobby until after I retire!!:o
