What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

After lurking around for a bit I thought I'd join in on the traditional totin' with my GEC 83 in green micarta. It's really rekindled my love of the traditionals, going to have to grab some more!

[/IMG]I'm almost embarrassed to show this after seeing all these great looking blades. I found this 12OT with the tip broken and in pretty rough shape. After a little work it's almost a wharncliffe. I like it. But I guess it doesn't take a lot to make me happy. :)

Blade looks good!!

And there's nothing to be embarrassed about, look at all of us idiots spending way too much money on knives. =)

No need to be embarrassed. It's a nice functional little knife. I've got a $9 Rough Rider along with me today, so nothing fancy to brag about here either, but it's sharp and works.

Some posts from the past 24 hours that really caught my fancy:

Carried my 73 and 83 Clip today

Great stag and photos, Harry & Paul!:thumbup:

Beautiful night tonight Gev and thank you my friend. Received the pre-op packet in the mail today:thumbup:
Prayers and best wishes for the upcoming procedure(s), Paul.

...Beautiful 3 and others for this week GT, I always enjoy seeing that rehandled 77 :)
...
Thanks, Tim! :) Of course, the rehandling is more magic from the Markesharp Workshop!:cool:

...Double Charlows for me today :)

That's a peerless pair, Jack!;)

Like usual after a weekend I had about 7 pages to catch up on. I sure missed a lot!

I bought this knife last year. It wasn't too far gone, just dirty, full of scratches and peppered all over. Spent the last few days slowly bringing it back. Took lots of hand sanding and then a good scrubbing. There's still some faded pepper spots that I wanted to keep. It shows that the knife isn't new, yet it is fresh and ready for the world. (Excuse the lint on the blades)

It earned the place in my pocket yesterday and today...

Holy Moly, Jake, the jigging on your Schrade is achingly beautiful; what a terrific knife!!!:eek::thumbup:

Fantastic 73, Duane; that knot in the handle is character-plus!!:cool:

Thanks guys, she's quite photogenic. This pic is a week or two old, but I think it's the best knife pick I've ever taken by a long mile.

Incredible photo of a superb knife!!:cool:

My Cadet and the little Bird and Trout/ Hunter I just finished. It's off the David Seward tomorrow for leather.

I'm definitely jumping on the "awestruck by your work" bandwagon, Chris!:thumbup::thumbup::eek:

Excellent, GasMan! I like a new knife, but something about the old ones, especially ones that need a little TLC, is more satisfying.:cool:;)

More knives I'm carrying this week: a SAK battalion - Electrician, Minichamp, and Tinker.

GasMan1, I like fixing up a broken blade, too. I really like the new shape.

Carrying this one again, today.

That knife looks fantastic, Rachel!:thumbup: What are the handles made from? Have you considered putting some kind of shield in there? You're really on a Boker roll lately!!:D:D:cool:

Thanks! I have been on a Boker roll. A fellow from work sold me a half dozen Boker USAs in various states of disrepair, and I've been working on them as I have time.

The handles are Delrin or some similar plastic. It's kind of ugly in person, and I'm thinking of rounding off the edges, which will fade out some of the "jigging", and might make the secondary blades easier to open, and I'm either going to dig up a replacement Tree shield, or find something else round to glue in there.

Cool tapered backsprings:

That's a real classic you've got there. Have no shame in carrying that one!
