What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice carry, Jack! That Scratted Parchment Bone Ancient is a looker.

Totin' today.

Normally I prefer a single blade slipjoint, but the two-blade width feels excellent in a small knife like a peanut. Although it doesn't have halfstops, AG makes a great one. Thanks to my friend chucko for the gift.

Cold and rainy today(expecting some snow), a wharncliffe trapper from Mike Zscherny(turkish lace damascus forged by Doug Ponzio, damascus extraordinaire) is staying warm in my pocket in a Claude Scott sheath, elephant hide lined with veg. tanned leather. Sweet new hand forged cap lifter from one of our talented craftsmen here on Bladeforums. Have a great Saturday folks!

Woah! That's a nice looking little knife! I like the wood and the Damascus blade and bolster are really nice. I'm a real fan of jimping on the spine and that looks to be very well done.

Gary, beautiful knives you have there.

Kris, I always enjoy seeing what you carry. I will gladly trade you weather today, 97 and humid here.

Chris

I am happy you received this and that you like it Rob. Your images are always outstanding.

Wow! Impressive!

Thank you guys. All the credit should go to Chris for the outstanding craftsmanship on this knife. I contacted him the other day and asked him to make me one very similar to this knife, assuming that he wanted to keep this one. He decided to allow me to purchase this one and I thank him for that ! I really love it - it has an old world charm to it.:thumbup::)

Gevo - thank you for that and your carry today is, as always, beautiful and historic !!:thumbup:;)

Gary - two fine carries and a beautiful sheath, which reminds me that I need to have a really nice sheath made for the Bird and Trout knife.

Jack - the Ancient is a fantastic piece of cutlery !:)
