Ludwig Groten has been in my pocket for about a week now, it's a fantastic slicer and works very well on foodstuffs.

Classy knives as always gentleman!! Today I'm rockin' my childress neck knife on my belt and this newly aquired e blade GEC 36, what a beast!! I can barely close the pen blade on it.

Duane, everytime I see this old Groten it makes me smile. :)
Thanks Andi :) Paul thought that you might like to see it getting some use, and that is exactly what I intend to do with this old sweetheart. It is long, but seems to magically disappear once in pocket. You probably already know I kind of like Ebony knives ;)
BTW, that's a really cool banner your sporting for your Avie

Thanks Duane! Well, the banner is the Coat Of Arms of Bavaria nowadays. There was another one, when Bavaria was still a kingdom (ended 1918). My personal sight of local patriotism and the pride of being bavarian. As well as my personal support of democracy in these difficult time like right now.

BTW: That Ludwig Groten is (was) made by Friedrich Hartkopf. They somehow got the rights on that cutlery as it doesn´t existent many decades ago. I suppose they used the Groten tangstamp in the 80s and 90s for some kind of collectors knife. That ebony wood is really nice, indeed.

This single blade mini trapper will be my everyday edc going forward.

Those wharncliffe mini trappers make great EDC knives. Did you have the blade reground on that one?

I carried this little peanut that I won in a give away here last year.
