What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I showed in on July 27 2013 and Sept 5 2013 ( with the penny you sent me Jack ) and in March 27 of 2014 with an old meat hook in the pic. Here it is open in that July shot:

Now you know I can't remember past last week Gev! :D Great to see some more of that one my friend

Sorry Jack I hadn't seen your reply after getting sucked into work over the weekend.
Nope it's a 'Giesen & Forsthoff', Solingen. Picked it up at a stall on the market in York a couple of years ago.

No worries Donn, nice find, I have a couple of very similar knives, one by Kaufman, the other by Wusthof (a gift from Andi). Thanks for the info, and that's a great pic

Thank you Primble. The 'reflections' in the bolster are of course merely my funky wallpaper :D:D:eek: The worms migrated from the bone you see...

Todd I'd never seen Redwood burl until your picture. That is stunning and it has noticeable symmetry/continuity of pattern. I'm not sure I could chose a favorite between it and Jared's folder. Dynamite duo good sir.
