Gev - I appreciate that Sir! :) And that Hammer Brand is such a terrific old knife! :cool:

I have not Toted this 73 in quite a while, usually prefer the singles! ;) But we made it just fine today! :D

I do need to Ron. The 73 is a classic ! :thumbup::)

There seems to be no end to your fantastic Barlows Primble. They are always great to see.

Harry

Thank you Harry. :)

Nice TL! As an aside, who makes those boots? They're sharp! (No pun intended)
Thanks, DB! Those are some good ole Doc Marten 1460 boots. UK made version in cherry red. Besides Vans in the summer Doc's are all I wear. Black, ox blood, cherry, etc....I own them all. Haha.

I hope I've not started growing antlers! :eek: :D
...
Thanks again my friend, I like that Barlow :thumbup:
You have to admit that there are some benefits to growing antlers! :D
Thanks, Jack. :) I like the Barlow, too. It spent a couple of decades in my window repair bucket before I rescued it.

Case/Bose Cattle Knife today.

Stunning knife, Rick! :eek::thumbup:

....Thank you GT and that is a very nice old Bluegrass ! :thumbup::)
Thanks, Primble. :) When I became re-interested in knives a couple of years ago, I thought I'd be finding all sorts of old classics like that I could acquire and admire. But it's harder than I thought (at least at the level of time and money I'm currently able/willing to commit)! :eek::( So I've bought more new knives than I'd have predicted, and I enjoy them very much, but there's still something special about the older ones, IMHO. ;)

W:eek:W! That's a stunner, Primble! :thumbup::thumbup: Does the tang read "Shapleigh"? Did Diamond Edge somehow end up with Imperial at one point? I think I have a skinny little shell Imperial whose blade is etched Diamond Edge.

...I'm going old school and new school today.

...
Sean, I really like the bone on your new Northfield Barlow, but I think I like your "old school" Camillus at least as much!! Pretty pair! :thumbup::thumbup:

Gus, I think in your case, TC may stand for Total Commitment! :cool::cool:

...Gary
I am having a hard time getting your qoute and compliment in here:confused:
Anyway...thank you kindly for the fine compliment!! My eyes are peeled and I know where a bunch may be:D
That sounds quite amazing, Gev! Have you spotted herds of Uncle Henrys wandering the suburbs of Austin?? :p

Well, this is what I have with me today for an after work brew and conversation with a fellow forum member.

BTMac, looks like you'll need several brews and a LOT of talk to give that group its due! :thumbup::thumbup:

Farm & Field Tool for me today...

Andi, you sure do have a lot of classic knives! :cool::cool:

Northwoods Stockman (pile side) with me today ...

That's a real looker, Jim!! :thumbup::cool: Does the jigging pattern sort of form chevrons??

...GT - Thanks for the kind words on the Stag! :) Love the Blue Grass!:thumbup:

Thanks, Ron. :) I suppose I could be talked into taking that 2-blade 73 off your hands if you REALLY prefer the single blades! :D:thumbup:

I am back to an old standby combo today. Sorry for the recycled pics but there are only so many photos I want to take of these two knives together. :)

That's a classic couple, John! :thumbup::thumbup:

...Have the BSK and a 2003 Soldier today...the BSK is itching to open something. Have a Fat Tire chillin'

Dynamic duo, Steve, and that lanyard is pretty special! :thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you GT ! :thumbup::)

Yes - the Barlow has a Shapleigh HDW. Co. tang stamp.

Imperial brought out a line of Diamond Edge knives in the early 1970's.

Shapleigh Hardware had closed in 1955 and was sold to Curtis Manufacturing, which continued to sell under the Shapleigh Diamond Edge name until the early 1960's.

That Taramundi knife is interesting. :thumbup::)

Gev Thank you! The 77 has exceeded all my stringent expectations, knife enlightenment:D

Regards, Will
