It's really not that much... The only bulky thing is the tool pouch (roughly a pound, if I remember correctly), which I only carry when I have cargo or carpenter pants with a knee pocket (most days). My keys are smaller than most folks that I see, and my wallet is remarkably thin (<0.5").It works, Sean. I don't know how you keep your pants up![]()
It goes something like this:
Keys clipped to beltloop and tucked into left front pocket with wallet| Phone and pen in right front pocket | Knife in coin pocket | small leather notepad in right rear pocket | Took pouch (Leatherman Wave and Zebralight SC2 light) in carpenter pocket if present, in bag if not.
Agreed.
So, If I may Sean, what do you do to need all that gear on a daily basis? I also like how you have used those chain links.
Other than the leatherman and flashlight, I don't see what I carry that's so out of the ordinary. I have keys, wallet, pen, small notebook (homemade), and knife (a given on these forums). As for what I need the tool kit for, you'd be surprised how much it comes in handy. I used to work in an antiques market and having pliers and a screwdriver on had was extremely convenient. Now I'm an R&D Engineer who splits time between an office, a machine shop, and a boat. Having tools I know I can count on readily at hand, even if they're not the ideal tool, has been extremely handy. Flashlights come in handy more often than you think.
Thanks for the compliment on the chain links. The keychain dangler is a custom design I whipped up in CAD and had lasercut from Stainless steel. There's a tritium locator that shines through the holes.
MODS: sorry for the off topic posts. Further questions can be taken to PM if it's a problem or I can start another thread if that would be allowed. EDC Pocket dumps with Traditional Knives? Would that fly here?
