What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Jack, thanks for the kind comment on my Grohmann.

I went for some colour today. A Blish Mize & Silliman. It works well with all the maple leaves dropping in the yard.

Doing yard work today. Fall is upon us here in Upstate NY, and I'm doing my darnedest to clean it up. This pair is helping out.
Bark River Northstar Companion in KSF leather, and my newest and most favorite , the Case/Bose Cattle knife.

Great pair there! Lots of utility, for sure.

After a long wait my love finally gifted me this 2 blade white bone 77. It's such a perfect knife and she even had it laser etched with a loving reminder. Feeling like quite the lucky man today.

I will be carrying this one every day and reveling in the patina and coloring of the bone as it ages with use.

Lemmy - Yes indeed, a lucky man! What a wonderful gift! :D

I don't even know why I have other knives in my collection. Been carrying just this one since it's arrival.

Bob - It is a very appealing pattern! One could almost say perfect! :D

Quick cell-phone grab of my Cocobolo pair for the day. #77 and #6 Northfields

Liam - That is a stunning pair of Cocobolo Northfields! Thanks again for the work on the Forum Knife, much appreciated!!! :D

Shane - The Moose is loose! :D Without a doubt one of the hardest workers on the porch!:D

I had the Ivory Smooth Bone Sleeveboard in the pocket today. IMO a very classic and classy pattern! :D

Thanks Gev, though I'm far from home. I did make it to my hotel though and hope to be back home later this week. 😀 You posted a pair of fine old knives today too, and I hope they brought you a bit of luck as well.

I think they did, Stephen. Thank you. I remember the road warrior day well

Ron
Yes it is...very classy:thumbup::thumbup:

Ron, it feels pretty perfect to me. So much so, I can get it out of my pocket. :D
I like your Smooth Ivory Bone 79. Those and the Ebony's are very classy indeed.

Ron I'm a devotee of Ivory Bone (not of tusks though) and your Workhorse looks like a really nice Old School carry, wonderful class is the class it's in :D:D Great stuff my man:thumbup:

Seen a Lick Creek in the same bone and makes me wish I'd gone for that rather than the jigged bone (fine though it is)

Thanks, Will

Gev - Thanks my friend for the compliments! :) Hoping you have been able to keep safe and dry the last couple of days!

Bob - Thank you as well buddy! :)

Will - Thank you for the kind words Sir! Smooth Ivory Bone is in my short list of favorites as well! I am fortunate to have the Lick Creek that
you speak of, I bought it at the Rendezvous direct from Lyle. Talk about classy, Lyle is truly a class act. This makes this knife even more special to me! :)

That confirms my suspicions Ron  I should've gone for the Ivory. Looks like time vanished from the early c20th:cool:

Sleek is the word:D:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Thanks for the helpful info, Sean. :)

I don't always match my Hank to my coffee mug, but when I do, it's art.

My late afternoon meeting was cancelled, so I got home at 5.00pm instead of 10.00pm. Still got plenty of work to do at home though :(

Man those Case/Bose Cattle Knives sure are good looking. I was looking at 'em online earlier today. Just can't bring myself to drop the required amount of cash on one.

If you can swing it, go for it! It's as close to a Bose custom as I'll ever get, and it is a superb working knife. I told a friend of mine that it's the Sebenza of traditional knives. Pricey, but made to work.

Peanut is a good one to carry around Tony, mine is pretty much in my watch pocket all the time, I use it quite a bit too, very sharp and no one gets bothered when I take it out to cut, always a plus ;)
