I don't think, sad to say, I've ever handled a Sheffield penknife of any quality - well, any quality of the likes Menefee/Dowell/Erickson/Mason/Bose etc
 
The K'roo Chunky Frank again! Thick and hearty just how I like it. Maybe my favorite thing is how unique this blade is.

That's a Sleek Hound Bob! I should use mine more (Tidioute pedigree) would be an exceptional knife as a Barehead, were I to seek improvement.

I like these in the hand much more than the conventional Swayback, which I've always found a bit wanting.

Thanks Will. That's a very good assessment of the 55 pattern. I have a two blade barehead that's also very nice, but the single blade just disappears in your pocket.
 
Carrying this today in honor of the new production run of #71s, can't wait to get my hands on one in OD!
