What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

HST I like the way that distressed 25 looks for sure!

Good to see you Bob, that's a sweet knife

This one has turned into a favorite, the saw cut is a great worry stone and I can pinch it open with ease.

Morning all, hope everyone has a great Sunday.
Carrying one that Ron gifted to me a while ago and still very much enjoyed to this day and onward.

Thanks Ron. I had to do the EO on that one. They placed the secondary pen blade right in front of the long pull and I was forever fighting to get it open.

Good to see you here Bob! The EO notch on the 15 looks like it has always been there, very nice, I may have to try that on one of mine.

154cm Case barlow today

I still love seeing your Darkside. Maybe all the more, now. :)

The pictures registered before your caption did, causing me to scramble-scroll upward clues-- because I was fairly sure the knife had to be "new." Nicely done!

Great worker bee, ain't it?

Amazing trio of old bone you have got there!
You and Lemmy have inspired me to throw my white bone barlow in my pocket today. I hope one day it will have half the character that those barlows show.

Good choice Bob, and choice to see you here again:D:D

Today and yesterday it's been a Wall St. happening. These are very nice and I regard them as rather overlooked lockbacks. Fine quality, no F&F issues at all, a decent size Clip (or Spear or Wharncliffe should you want) and none too heavy in the pocket either. They deserve a second look:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Nice Will ! :thumbup::)

3.3"? In other words, perfect. :)

Thank you for your quick reply (had I not seen it now, I might have missed it-- this thread moves fast and my week-day time is limited). Thanks too for your kind words re: my Parchment Pretty. The Scratted number and Harlequin Ebony from the same run tend to show off more...

...but I do love smooth(ish!) bone, and the color's hue and saturation are delectable. It caught my eye again today, especially in juxtaposition with its forebear, the Russell, and off we went together.

Thanks to Lemmy , Jack , Erik , Dean , and Primble for the very kind words about my Old Guys . We took them out for a day of Christmas shopping for our 24 offspring. Long day.
It was extremely nice to sit and go through this thread and see that Big Biscuit is home , carrying , and posting again. Just feels good to have him back on the Porch. Welcome back Bob !!!! You were missed.

City knife? How do you like it?

Correct Woodrow, and I really enjoy these. A fixed blade that carries like a folder, and stout enough to hold up to some fairly rough use if need be. Fits my hands well and the convex edge slices forever. Pretty easy to maintain on strops too. Not the best at piercing I would guess, but I rarely encounter that need in my daily carry.
