Teaching is a rewarding profession, isn't it, Ron??

Beauty isn't limited to the young! Even "ancient" knives and old scouts can be gorgeous! What is that brilliant curvy beautifully-grained object that your Ancient Barlow is resting on, Jack??
Dazzling dark duo, Rachel!

A kouple of incredibly keen Keen Kutter kontestants from KY!! Both beauties, but MY taste always runs toward the 2-blade models!...A pair of Keen Kutters ridin' in my britches today:

Congrats on the new gunstock, Tom; sounds like you're very happy with it!

Very cool map, JP! I hope I can use it over the holidays to help me research some French beauties!...Down is a map to help locating some knives (not comprehensive). They are now quite all made in Thiers and around (well, those not originating from Far East) but Langres / Nogent was a big contender not so long ago, famous for the stainless steel. (Let me know if this is inappropriate in this thread).

Both beauties, Dean! I'm not always great on colors, but aren't they kind of a seasonal reddish and greenish?

I think that's a beauty, Ken! Some might say an OldTimer is just a "plain jane", but the round bolsters and the slender clip make that one gorgeous to me! What model is it?I've carried this one for the past couple of days.

Another French beauty; ooo la la!! Congrats, sshakari! :thumbup:Just arrived today from France a D'Albrac Le Liadou in spicy juniper wood. I've been watching the Youtube videos of Stephan and this knife really caught my eye and my first into the French regional knives.

Another example of old but glamorous!...Totin' old school today!!I get the biggest kick out of all them young whippersnappers at work when I pull something like this out of my pocket at the lunch table!
The 1st thing one of them said today was, "What in the he-double-hockey-sticks kind of knife is that? And then the old man proceeded to take them to school on what I like to
call "Classical Cutlery"

+5K!! Totally agree, Erik! :thumbup:Just when I think I'm starting to get a grip on my traditional purchases yoh have to go and post something like this...:grumpy:
Seriously though, that is some really cool information. Traditional European patterns have really intrigued me lately.
Yet ANOTHER elegant, classic, stunning French beauty!
Beauty appears in many colors, even blue (especially blue?)!!![]()

The knife is undeniably pulsating with pulchritude, but the background is rather creepy IMHO!!
