Ken Erickson: 3.75" "Stockman"

That is amazing, I love the top view! how it all comes together really is a testament to Ken's skill...when I'm working stateside it might be time to begin saving for my first custom and get in line. :)

I think I would appreciate the stockman pattern more with one of Ken's stockman knives-I love both of those knives Elliott!!!

To paraphrase Nathaniel Carpenter from a ITT Tech commercial, "What do I like about those Ken Erickson knives? Well, uhmm...I like everything about those Ken Erickson knives!" :)

I was thinking the same thing. Of all the jigged bone that I have seen on customs, these are among my favorites.

Thanks guys. I sure enjoy reading those great comments and impressions and I'm sure it just makes Ken swell with pride (and justifiably so).:thumbup:

I'm carry my newly gifted Orange Bone GEC Easy Open from Rick (railsplitter). I love this little jewel.

Today I'm taking the Case yellow synthetic scale trapper around with me. Just put an edge on it the other day and it's wicked sharp now :D

Elliott, that one looks like a real "chunk" of cutting power. Great, grippy looking stag, too.

Jeff, when I was oiling the joint and putting some mineral oil on the scales earlier I thought to myself that you wouldn't want to be thinking about something else while handling this knife.
It's sharp enough to split atoms!

I'm glad you're 150 miles or so away from me- I wouldn't wanna be too much closer if you dropped it. Please be careful- those mountains are much too purty to be knockin' holes in 'em. ;)

Jerry takes sharp to a whole new level IMO. I like that hunter. The stag is exceptional.

I'm carrying my GEC #48 Jack today. I also have my #33 Kauri wood Conductor. I promised one of my coworkers I'd bring it in and show him.

Seing you men carry your finest knifes has an impact on me. Today I carry my first Puma prospector from around 1983. It was my first good knife and still my nicest according to workmanship. Two times I have had the feeling I lost it, first time it was vanished for more than a year and I found it moving around my furniture when it was laying on the floorlist behind a cupboard. The other time It got lost when I was mooving and was gone for another year. That time I found it in the toesend of my dancing shoes. Now I take my shances again. I have never realy lost a knife that was of value for me so I probobly dont take to big a risk. The trouble is it kind of pushes the case stockman 63032 out of my pocket and that knife isnt of the same level talking about workmanship but on the other hand its my all time favorit slipjoint knife. Mabye, just mabye my avaited custom slipjoint can change that fact.

Still kharrying my avatar knife. I made the mistake of opening a taped up box with it the other day so the blade is a little gummed up. I guess I need to clean it soon.
