What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Rick Menefee: "Eureka Jack" (Prototype w/ modified blade)

Now that I'm done with my semi-annual cleaning of my septic tank filter (talk about "manly"), I've swapped the Menefee above for this Menefee "Stockman" after a long shower:

Stunning knife, not that there is something wrong with the other Menfee. What is the close measure?

Thanks, Mike. It's 4" closed and based upon a Reese Bose shadow pattern that Rick used as a template.

Today Victorinox Pioneer (I think that is only real victorinox that actually is traditional pattern for scout/camp knife) and German Eye Canoe from Duncan. That has been my equipment for this past week. Last week it was Victorinox Pioneer and Case chestnutbone Swayback Jack.

Nathan, that Coats is magical!! Beautiful work there.

As for me I'm carrying the sowbelly experiment and my mini copperhead. That combo is working out fine.

Ed J

Your sowbelly experiment is awesome. If it was in carbon steel I'd be all over it, and then do what you did.

I am heading out of town tomorrow morning with my oldest daughter to visit a college campus she is considering attending. We will probably check out some nearby apartment complexes, too. I'll be carrying this Zscherny dogleg jack I recently picked up.

Getting up early to work cattle this morning, packing my "calf cutter" 3.5" Bear and sons damascus trapper, a german eye brand muskrat and my trusty leatherman.

A Victorinox classic & a 2010 Forum Knife today. Getting some heavy patina on the latter now. :)

Nice to see someone here has their forum knife! I was going to ship mine here (Brisbane) but with customs being so grabby I didn't want to risk losing it so sent it to my US address. Try to post some pics.

Thanks, Jason. Joel is one heck of a maker (not to mention just a heck of a good guy as well).

And the same can be said for Bret, I might add.

Great looking knife, Jake. I'm gonna have to rethink not owning one of those.
