What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Jack - Thank you for the photo and story about your trip to see Stan. I can only imagine what a thrill that would be!

Stan is very pleasant company, and I could talk to him all day, but I'm always wary of keeping him from his work :)

Carried this just in Case

Inspiring my friend ;) :thumbup

Cool article Jack . Particularly apropos that the Owls were originally nicknamed the Blades, after the famous cutlers of the region :).

Thanks, I thought it was unusually thorough for an Wikipedia entry

A far inferior shot but had this guy in the pocket today

I think that's a great pic Drew

Here's me today ;) :)

Thank you Drew, I JUST had a White camel bone in my cart but hadn't yet pulled the trigger, I love the covers, so I'll look forward to seeing yours;):)

I really like the knife, GEC quality, easy pinchable and very handy blade as well as a very easy non bulky carry:thumbup:

I like your #77, sporting a well earned patina. That's another favorite knife of mine as the blade again falls into the easy to pinch open category.

Thanks for the comment Jack.

Wow, nice knives Comeuppance!

Great Cadet II harronek/Ken.

Beautiful Farrier Horseman Primble.

That Northfield Pruner is calling to me Paul. Another on the list.

Today I'm going with a Northwoods Fremont Jack and a Boker USA 9908.

Your Chambriard is just gorgeous! I have been looking at the Companion with inordinate desire:D

Drew

That is a fine shot of your sweet Yankee! And the knife is now imbued with luck :D

Cannonball
The Norfolk is indeed a fine knife and the color is unusual and striking!

Jack
I see what you did;)

Sean
Fantastic picture!!

Fantastic carries, folks. I would remark in more detail but I've been stuck in the office dealing with problems nobody else wants to touch, and in addition we've forgotten what the sun looks like since it refuses to come out any more! :grumpy: Add to that the fact that my mobile provider decided to automatically put some sort of child filtration onto my data plan (I'm single!) and then take more than 24 hours to remove what I never asked for... I didn't even have a chance to check up on your great carries last night... So, in the spirit of catching up and meeting the weekend on my terms...

Yesterday's carry, international brown bone flavor. First time out for the little lady leg. The stockman is becoming my favorite one under 4" long.

Today, Mac is back in his LFP with a little friend he knows from northwestern Pennsylvania snuggled in the watch pocket, both prominently mirroring my ghoulish face in their bolsters.

Very nice, I have a Dogbone Jack on my kitchen table :)

Such neat little knives! I like that the pen blade has an almost reverse-tanto kind of blade profile. Super handy. I must have used that three times yesterday in less than a half hour, poking holes in packages to hang on pegs. Really sweet knife, and the sheath is no slouch! I'll probably buy one or two more just for the sheaths, TBH :)

Any day that starts in the machine shop is a good day.

Isn't it a spey blade? Something which, to me, only adds to the humour of the knife! :D

Paul and Gevonovich thank you! I tried to post pictures of my white bone harvester but photobucket is off the grid apparently. Jrawk that's a beautiful knife, may the force be with you!

Most retailers have the dogbone jack listed as spear + spey (though I do see it referred to as a pen from time to time).

Sadly, most retailers ALSO have the dogbone jack listed as out of stock. "Sign up for our waiting list!"

I am NOT a patient man. :grumpy: ;) :D
