Looks pretty nice Paul. I trust that yours is put together as well as mine.

Wow Harry!!! I had to look back...what nice Stag my friend!!! They are a terrific knife. It's fun for me to try purpose built knives and actually apply them in day to day use. The pruner is a precise cutter. I find the beak? Hook tip very handy. As a plus it carried very slim as Pruners in the past just didn't carry well for me.

Ok, lookin at a Stag version now Harry, enabler, enabler, enabler:D:thumbup:

Paul - Beauty of a knife there - that Northfield !!!

Jack - thank you very much for posting that picture of Stan's shop ! The tools are remarkable ! Hope you got more pics for us to see.

I got this J. Fenton & Sons LTD. Farrier Horseman, Sheffield, England in the mail today. It had some very ugly what I call spider web patina on the tools and water spotting on the blades. I spent a couple hours cleaning it up, but, there is plenty of old left showing. I had wanted a Farrier Horseman for a long while and am happy to get this one, which is very mechanically sound. I will post more pics of it later. For now, it has kicked my redbones out of my pockets for the rest of the day. A very nice size at 3.5"closed and I am very impressed with the quality.

Like that one a lot Primble !!!!! All of the old Farrier knives look kind a clunky , but once you think about the tools in the package , you realize that they are beautiful tools !!!! Thanks for posting pictures of a very nice knife !!!!!!

Nice that I can be an enabler for a change . I know that they really are a niche knife , but I use an old Hawkbill in the gardens and I thought they would be nice for breaking down boxes for re-cycling as well. The fact that you could get a big slab of Stag also had a little to do with the decision to get one. Here is hoping that you will get a Stag too !!!!

Fantastic Find, Rob. Not only great tools, but also handsome bone.

Primble - I don't know how I managed to blow right by this beauty, unless it had something to do with not wanting to eat cold Chinese! It is quite a wonderful old knife. Congrats on this one are in order my friend.:D

Thank you Ron - I reckon' you were looking for something more red from me. ;):D ( I posted my reds first thing this morning ) :D

Totin this pair today

Thank you P&G ! A fine pair you have today - the blue is electric !:)

Steingass does some amazing work Primble, the rosewood on that one is beautifully formed.

Finally got a super eraser by advice of Primble a long while and gave my 56 bolsters and opinel ring lock a matte brushed finish.
Will always have this knife for the sentimental value and usefulness of Bob's EO notch :D

Thank you Tim. The satin looks nice ! If you want a little more shine, you can rub it briefly with 0000 steel wool afterwards to give it a low lustre look, or not ! ;):D

I like this one. Böker knives don't get the respect they deserve. Every one I have bought has great fit and finish at a very reasonable price.

Giving the Nieto another break while I try out the new Taximanny sodbuster in O1 and OD Canvas Micarta:

I really like that knife Comeuppance, I will have to keep my eye out for some of his future offerings. O1 is one of my favorite steels.

I just feel better with Charlie's Harness jack in my pocket!

The jigging and coloration of that bone is beyond reproach. Fantastic! Thank you for sharing Robb.

Been too busy to post much recently but I've kept my little lovelies close by. Today I was totin' this little Norfolk.

This picture should be turned into a canvas and mounted prominently in a knife museum! That detail is amazing

Paul - That is a beautiful Northfield and the Ebony is very nice. I had hoped for some Ebony on the Viper, but will have to settle for Rosewood and Snakewood!:D
