Jack: You've been finding the best backgrounds for your rope knife. Well done!
Looks like your case Redbone is kinfolk to Gevo's Jack.
...
Thank you and happy hunting Mr. Jack ! Those two ought to cover the bases.![]()
I joined the cult.

It's perfect, r8shell.....perfect!!
that is WAY more classy r8shell
Thanks, Gev....GT
Thank you fine sir!! Great covey your carrying today
Enjoy the knife show this weekend, Tom!Hey GT - you are correct sir! I am fascinated with white handled knives lately, don't know why exactly. I am attending a knife show this weekend, hopefully there aren't too many nice white-handled traditionals there or I fear for my bank account
.
Love the silver bullet, congrats!
Sorry about the "rejects" comment, Primble; I suppose there's a lot of ground between "favorite" and "reject" that I ignored.GT - rejects !!!??That silver bullet is unique, as is the Marbles Lady knife.

Bodacious bone and jubilant jigging on that one, Robb!!
Thanks, Ken; I carry a Vic Electrician every day. Your Boker Barlow looks super!...The Electrician is very nice GT. That one is on my list which seems to be getting longer every day.
Today it's a Boker Barlow and a Wenger serrated Esquire.

Rather curious situation with the MAM models. Having to "explain yourself in court" certainly reduces the convenience of carrying a lock-knife!...
That's interesting, only one stockist here, and (apart from a small sausage eater) they all have liner-locks. Strange, as I dare say they'd sell more without the locks. You can legally carry a lock-knife here, but if challenged by the law you'll have to give a strong justification for needing it, and in all probability have to explain yourself in court.
Congrats on that first-rate Farrier, Primble! Now THAT'S a unique knife! (Somehow, its image has turned into a building!??)
I got this J. Fenton & Sons LTD. Farrier Horseman, Sheffield, England in the mail today. It had some very ugly what I call spider web patina on the tools and water spotting on the blades. I spent a couple hours cleaning it up, but, there is plenty of old left showing. I had wanted a Farrier Horseman for a long while and am happy to get this one, which is very mechanically sound. I will post more pics of it later. For now, it has kicked my redbones out of my pockets for the rest of the day. A very nice size at 3.5"closed and I am very impressed with the quality.

"Leg up"Gary - If you don't carry that sowbelly it will feel neglected! It looks like you got a leg up on this weeks carry!!
Well I am still carrying red bone today, but it is not 70's vintage! But, it will hold its own!

Gunga Galunga!! :thumbup:This Robeson Pocketeze today.![]()
Very Nice!!
I admire (and envy) your attitude toward knife photos, Tim. For me, taking knife photos is time-consuming and stressful, and "composition" is a word I don't know.
Thank you kindly Gevo, taking photos and composition of a great knife is probably as much fun as it is carrying the knife. I like trying to get things 'just right'
Finally got a super eraser by advice of Primble a long while and gave my 56 bolsters and opinel ring lock a matte brushed finish.
Will always have this knife for the sentimental value and usefulness of Bob's EO notch![]()

I admire your loyalty to your knives, Jeff!![]()
A great duo
Very nice, as usual, Ken. What is the little "button" that frequently appears in your pics, often propping up an open blade?
Today I'm going with a Northwoods Fremont Jack and a Boker USA 9908.

Those red Cases are the bees' knees, gentlemen!!
Jack
I see what you did
Whoa, what an exquisite knife!!
Classic and classy and not flashy!! That one will look good in any era, Ron!
It felt like a great day to be totin' a Barlow, and this TC is one of my favorites.

How about painting some descriptive word pictures of your daily carry until technology improves, Dean?
With photobucket down I am spared the stress of showing today's carry.
Alternate site, same impressive results!! :thumbup:Today, using an alternate site

Hope you had a successful trip, Jack! You're apparently quite serious about giving that rope knife a pocket-worn look as quickly as is humanly possible.A fine pair Mr P, two real beauties  I'm going to be having an early start to go antique hunting some distance from where I liveGoing to have these two amigos with me
Have a great weekend everyone

Hope everyone had a fruitful Friday

Thanks for the positive feedback, folks! The disc is about 2.5 mm thick, and I deepened the inset a good amount to get it in there, so it's kind of a tight pressure fit. I'll carry it like this for a while. (maybe the shield will fall out on one of my nice wood handled Bokers and I can switch them out.![]()
