What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I have been busy all day, but, stopped by to show you what was in my pocket today:

:)

Talk about a fine tip! That blade has obviously seen a lot of use but I think it's lost its belly rather gracefully. What is that shield referred to?

Rob, glad you stopped by, what a vintage sleek beauty right there:cool::thumbup:

Just a gem, right there! Love that shield and that pattern:thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you Paul and Gevo. Great choices the two of you made today and I liked the penny shot G.:D

Roberto Where did you find that NYKC Trapper?! Like Gevo said, you have a Rabbit hole and it's endless!:D

I was digging out another rabbit hole and found it at the bottom. ;):D I like your HJ !

New old stock,arrived this morning. 2991,circa 1998.

Very nice find. :thumbup::)

I agree it has seen a lot of use, but, still some life left. I have heard that shield called Bullocks, Bollocks, Chess Piece, Pawn, Chicken Bone, Stugots, and Keyhole. Unsure which is proper. ;):D

Mr. Jack - a lot of goodness in your pockets today. Have a good trip. :)

NYKC split-back whittler today:

Cheek! :grumpy:
Thank you my friend  ;)
...
I'm off to Sheffield early in the morning, so packing tonight for an early start. Filling my pockets! ;) :D

Nice mix of Sheffield and Pennsylvania steel.

Here's my choice for the day, it's actually bigger than my modern Zinker "EDC slacks" knife, but it's working for me!

I think you've won Mammoth Monday. :D

Stuck the 501 in my pocket today.

The scrollwork is fantastic. Are the handles ebony?

Today's carry is exactly the same as yesterday's so I won't waste bandwidth on photos for once. :D I am really starting to like everything about this Queen mini-trapper. The Winterbottom bone, the build quality, the feel in the hand. A pretty great knife for one marked as a factory second. I still can't figure out what earned it the EDC mark, but it doesn't much matter to me - this is a great-looking and hard-working user.

I'm carrying the one in the middle...

... as well as the one on the left. :o

(The whittler is in my pocket, the Farmer's Jack is riding in its usual sheathed spot alongside an LTKW Patriot.)

Very nice knives everyone.

Thanks for the comments on the yellow TC Barlow Jack, Tsar and Tim. Tsar, thanks for the interest in the Wenger Esquires. It's a tough call but I think I like the brushed version the most.

Amazing knife Joe! Terrific Boker Jeff! Great picture of that SAK Chris!

Today I'm carrying a Tidioute 73 Beavertail and a Vic Electrician.
