What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today, I am carrying a recently acquired mint condition 1965-1969 bone Case 6214 (slim jack). I am very pleased with it. Half stops, great snap and the blades and springs were like new. This is the one I was looking for with a spear point main blade (very sharp).

Tomorrow I will be carrying an '89-'90 Old Timer stockman I cleaned up today that used to belong to my dad. The blades had some rust but no pitting and I cleaned it up a gave it a mineral oil bath. I polished up the back and while the brass is nice and bright, the springs have a dark gray look them that looks good in my opinion.

Thank You Morablades, Stockman242 and Texasflyfisher for your post and especially for the fine photographs!. I love seeing all your fellas posts, but also love and anticipate your pictures as well.

In preparation for hurricane Ike, all day long I have either been taking down dead trees, strapping down storage sheds, and/or clearing debris, all for my neighbors mind you:rolleyes:.. And since a chainsaw, an axe, and/or a rake aren't traditional knives, I won't show them here.. But, here is what I was carrying since 7:30 am to help me with all my chores.

Something old and something new, for a little back up.. A well used vintage Colonial USA made Trapper and(for backup) a newish Case USA made # 6.5220. I really love both of these and all four blades shave hair!.

And hey jackknife, I used the peanut more than just a few times today.

First, I had to scrape the air filter clean on the chainsaw, on the intake side of the filter. The thin clip blade was the perfect size to remove the black greasy layer of crap of the cheap foamy type filters that are used now-a-days. I just surgically removed the grimy thin layer, oh so finely removed. :) Next, I used her to remove the pine sap build up on the very fine set screws for tightening the chain that the flat-head screwdriver was too fat to get at. And lastly, to clean my fingernails after all the work was complete..

Today I'm carrying the same thing as everyother day for about a month now. A Boker Appaloosa bone stockman and a Buck 110. A great combo.

Great pic sunnyd! I look forward to your pics!

Yesterday I carried the Bulldog "cutting horse" sowbelly I got recently. Was strange not having the peanut in my shirt pocket where it had taken to ridding lately...

The GEC beaver tail was along too, it disappears in my back pocket and I forget its there when I switch EDCs of a morning... dedicated eating knife lately.

Nothing I couldnt afford to lose.

Im wearing cargo style uniform pants.
Pants Right Front Pocket Internal - Case 3318 (Stockman)
Pants Right Pocket External - Camillus TL-29
Pants Pen Pocket (On outside of R. External) - Victorinox Alox Solo

Thanks Ice Tigre!. :)

Go figure, I scored several 1st generation Bulldogs myself as of late and was able to slip this vintage 3 Blade Sowbelly Cuttin Horse into the edc mix. These bad boys are hefty folders with goood sharp hi-carbon steel. Very much enjoyed this one today! Will do this one again tomorrow too. .
