My knives for the last two days (Presidential EDC not photographed). First up, yesterday was a Red Soup Bone Barlow.
And today, an old friend, an ebony Huckleberry Boy's knife.
I had some delicious white chicken chili on Thursday, Dean, but your Thursday soup gives much longer-lasting enjoyment! And that ebony Boys Knife is so classy!
Working on a Christmas ornament. We'll see how it turns out.
Cool photo, Brett!

What type of wood are you using?
My 18 in Natural Stag arrived today and went straight into my pocket ( after pictures ) along with my 73 . My 77 was on kitchen duty during pictures. Was afraid that a knife as small as the 18 would not be available with some Deep Stag . Did not do too bad IMO. Who ever did the finish on this little 18 must love their job. It is a little jewel.

Congrats on the new stag Coyote, Harry! You sure have a knack for tracking down amazing stag!!
I started out this morning with my 77 Red Saw Cut Clip Barlow in my pocket.

I literally within the last couple of hours have added a new friend to join it.

Pam and I are visiting our daughter for the weekend. I made a stop this afternoon at one of the local establishments that sell things with triggers and blades. I looked down in one of the cases and I immediately saw something that reminded me of our friend
Gary and his daughter that lives in Spain. I could not resist this Aitor Castor Grande with Bubinga Wood handles. This is the 1st time I have had one of these in hand. I will say that is a well made, smooth functioning folder with some of the most beautiful wood handles that I own.

I will also add that "This ain't no little knife!"

Congrats on the big new Aitor, Ron!

That bubinga is superb, and Ill bet youre going to enjoy that leaf-shaped blade. A Spanish BF member, Sevilla, told me that style of knife is called solsonesa; I dont have one by Aitor, but I have a smaller one by Cudeman thats a joy to use.
It's just 3 3/8 in.

I never think to mention it, but I always have a mini-champ on my keys. The only problem with it is I spend minutes opening and closing the wrong tool before I find the blade I want.
Thanks for the Boker size info, Rachel - splendid knife! I can relate to the tool hunt on the Minichamp.

I probably use the scissors and the little wharncliffe blade the most, and still invariably start looking on the wrong side of the knife!
GT - I like the scrimshaw feather...
For me today and for stag Saturday, fresh out of the mail...polished stag sabre grind 85.
Thanks, Jake; r8shells got talent!!

Congrats on the stunning new 85!
GT: You got it, Colt in stag sowbelly frame. I like to use it as my main whittler. Those are old bed springs that are along my desert hike. Find lots of old cans, bottles, car parts mixed in with the cacti. Along with animal bones
These two today for the river walk...
Thanks for confirming my ID attempt, Steve.

I have one of those Colt stag bone sowbellies, and like it a lot.
Thanks for the notice, sir. The pile side is not as nicely detailed as the mark side, but comes alive in sunlight, at the right angles. I was surprised at the newer Klass's quality of construction, for the price.
I also have a Remington canoe with burl wood, like the one you sometimes show, that was far above expectations, as well.
Thanks for the info, deskil.

Ive often run across Klaas rams horn examples on dealer websites and have been tempted to grab one as my first example of rams horn. Your recommendation is the last straw, and Ill pick one up next time I go knife shopping.

And I agree, those burl wood Remington canoes are amazing bargains. I picked up mine at a gun&knife show, and wish I could find them online; I bought a matching Remington peanut online, and if I could find more patterns with that burl (Sportsman Series, Insignia Edition is what they call it, I think) Id grab them in a heartbeat.

Love that tune and listen to many artists renditions. Listening now.

Thank you Gary. Love the shaw and mini:thumbup::thumbup:

For Old Friend Friday, the Case #094 in "peacock Appaloosa" (why not just say "blue-green"

) gets its first carry in a long while, replacing ol' Mac and bracketed between what's already become my favorite
new friend and my "knife of 2015", the Anton Wingen Jr. Barlow. I'm glad I had a couple chances to carry the Wingen this week, as it is still one of my favorite Barlows ever.
Happy weekend, everybody!
Very cool pic of another terrific trio, Tsar! I wouldnt mind seeing a more conventional shot of that toothpick sometime; is that a big one?
Tom S & GT Thanks for your appreciation:thumbup: what you're looking at GT is a CASE Swayback Gent in Creme brulee Barnboard and Damascus. Grand small knife with first rate finish/build.

Thanks for the ID, Will.

Now that you've told me what it is, I remember seeing that very knife in one of your "plant in a pot" pics (another example of "recognition" being easier than "recall").
It's Saturday, so I can step out of my usual rotation schedule and carry whatever strikes my fancy for "Can't Wait Weekend".

Here are some of my Easter weekend "fancy-strikers".
All of my Colts - a buckshot bone teardrop, a black stag bone sowbelly, a black G-10 titanium-coated carbon steel canoe, and a stag canoe:
Happy Easter to all!
