What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Fantastic Knives! Those 2-blade are always amazing looking knives.

I have the exact same 77 and find it to be just about perfect. The steel construction of the barlows (all silver) makes for a great contrast with polished Blackwood. Great to see that you're out fishing! A day well spent by any measure!
My son-in-law had the day off and his boat was ready, so he dragged me out.

Looks like Photobucket is having a conniption again. I wonder how many lovely knives I'm missing out on... Flickr seems to be working though. :p

Here are some of the knives I'll be totin' this week.
"Big Knife" of the week is a Rough Rider Half Hawk:
"Little Knife" of the week is a Landers, Frary, & Clark pen knife:
SAK of the week is an Olive Alox Farmer:

That exact half-hawk continues to elude me as I collect the tobacco bone RRs with acorn shields. To date, I have the DBJ plus a few of the outdoorsman series including the cigar with pliers, a 5-blade trapper () and a nice slimline fixed-blade. I keep seeing the half-hawk in other styles but nothing in stock in tobacco. The LF&C is beautiful!

just this lonely coyote today

That's the last of the Tidioutes that I need to complete the PPP collection. I was put off from the pattern because I'm not a huge fan of acrylic and the colors do not match any of my usual camo knives, but I've become such a massive fan of the #18 that I don't think I'd be able to resist a nice clean one at a fair price if I stumble across one. Your picture certainly re-piques my interest.

So many great looking knives! I'm giving some pocket time to this Barlow.

I made a last-second switch just as I was leaving the house from a smooth bone Utica to the sheepsfoot cousin of your Barlow to accompany my big Camillus trapper:

Thanks Wurrwulf. It had been a while since I've developed just one sheet in a tray, and my technique was clumsy. But it has potential. Thanks again.
Dave

 Nice pairing! :)

Thanks. That Camillus is massive but a drop-point trapper manages to complement a number of popular patterns/blade combos. I am thinking of double-dipping the Camillus tomorrow with a #6318PU and a 'yote along.

Here's the picture, although I didn't agitate enough at the beginning of development. That's why you always shoot two sheets!

Fantastic shot, Dave! It's funny how the "analog" camera picks up such detail and depth across such a wide field, while digital cameras seem hamstrung to photograph objects over a few inches apart a lot of the time... :o I feel like I want a large copy of that photo framed in the living room for when I'm missing the woods. :D

Back to this today. I just ordered an alox cadet in preparation for a job switch and going into a super corporate/conservative environment. I need to explore more tiny knives, which is going to back to the beginning of my knife journey for me as my first traditional was a Colt Peanut!
