What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Seems like the winter chill that went to the bone has finally passed so I'll be carryin' my Case Sowbelly in Winterbottom Bone to commemorate that time of year finally passin'.

A good looking knife Ted, and finely photographed.

GT Thank you, it's been lolling around in its tube for over a year now, time to get that etch off with real work, I think.....:D:D

Bob, Todd, and Erik have some nice showings from the last couple pages. Alas, I haven't found time to keep up with the rest of this super active thread lately...

A new acquisition...

Great photo, Dan! All that red just enhances the beauty of the TC's handles.

Pretty picture of your White Owl! Have you been using the bail? I’ve discovered I like knives with a bail.

- GT

Thank, Gary. I don't use the bail, but I like the looks of it. Some bails are so out of proportion to the size of the knife they are unwieldy for handling. Not the one on the White Owl.

Great looking knife, Erik!

I'm carrying my new (to me) old Schrade today.

I was totin' this Northfield Barlow today. I came in from work and took this with my phone before I got into the house.

I've got these two with me today. Been working on the Polaris all afternoon. To be totally honest, the slipjoint is really the only thing that really changes in my knife carry. I've had this KaBar on my side everyday for the last year and a half.

There seems to be a bunch of guys that just LOVE barlows, I guess I'm just not one of them. I'm trying go to give this 77 one last go before I put it away for good. I guess my biggest gripe with them is, I don't like how slippery the bolsters feel to me when I'm using them. It feel like I can't get a good grip:/. Now granted the bolsters on this particular model were polished to a chrome shine, so I too some 1k grit paper and roughed them up a little; it seems to have helped but only time will tell. After all that I decided to put a damn fine edge in both blades and drop it in the pocket to see how it fares after the "tune up". Any how, enough of my rambling; on to pics:)

Rachel and Gev, I enjoyed your photos; Rachel that equal-ender you re-covered is awesome! Hope you’re all keeping your powder dry there near the Austin City Limits! ;)

Thanks! Staying dry for now.

I'm not familiar with Holub. How old is that one?

I haven't seen one of those two tone knives in a long while, and I remember them being common. Cool.

I gave the Coyote the day off and carried my SBJ today.

These two in Paua are with me on this sunny afternoon,

Wow...what a view. Ring me for the next hike :D Great shot!

It's the Fiddleback Forge Bushboot model. A great size to pocket or belt carry. Andy and company are turning out some fine instruments at Fiddleback Forge. So many models to choose...

A nice cold day for a harvest. Thank you Paul for this fine Opinel:D:thumbup::thumbup:

Might be a little of a drive Gev for you to the trailhead...

I've always had one of Andy's creations on the radar but like you said... So many models to choose from :D

That Opinel looks great amongst those tasty radish.

Fantastic pic Dan, hope you had a great hike

Thanks Jack. The company along with me and view truly make the experience.

I have a Farmer just like that, Dan, that I really enjoy, but my Farmer and I have never experienced such an awe-inspiring view!!:thumbup:

This week my assigned rotation includes these knives, among others I'll display later this week.

I've been meaning to replace my first Farmer and seen that gorgeous OD of yours a few times might have pushed over the top to purchasing one... In fact I know it did. :D

Great line up GT. Especially like that Electrican. Is that a derlin or acrylic cover ? Really like it.

Supporting the St Louis Blues with some blue ALOX, pen, and shirt (it worked last round ;) ). Feel a little silly with a SAK in both front pockets in an office setting, but no one will know but me :).

You've got my approval Tom

The Tree Barlow today...

That Coats swayback is a beauty Kris. Am currently enamored with this Dowell, the deep hollow grind is impressively wicked sharp.

Peanuts and beer. This one was gifted to me and I have to say, I love it. It reminds me of the Schrade Imperial Apex clampack knives made in Ireland that I used to pick up at Walmart as a young man - only sharper and with a little more snap.
